Blue Mosaic

Hello,

As you know Taylored Expressions releases a limited edition kit each month.  They often release part or all of it later down the road, but you never know.  If you love it you should grab it.    When this one came out I wasn't sure I loved it.  I was going pass on it, but I saw a sample that used white heat embossing and blues.   I really loved the look.  It reminded me of our trip to Greece a while back.   That was it,  I had to order it.  I'm so glad I did.   I made this and another card already and love how it all turned out.

Fall Turnabout

Hey, Hi, Hello there!   I'm so grateful you are here.

Well that about sums up these cards.   Concord and 9th came out with a new turnabout stamp.  This one has a beautiful Fall them with mushrooms, leave, acorns, and flowers.   I created a 6x6 inch panel with the stamp so that I could create two cards.   It is hard to see but on the "Hey" card I used a spellbinders 3D harvest embossing folder.  It also features mushrooms, so they paired perfectly together.

Thankful and Grateful

 Hello all,

Guess who is behind on blog posts again?  Well.  What can I say.. I'm human.

We made these cards back in November.    I used the pumpkin turnbout stamp to create the background.  If you never seen these.  They are awesome. Here is a video of a different turnabout.  I love the background they create.    I did struggle picking out colors for this one.  My first attempt used four different shades of orange.  I think I could have signaled the space station with it.  It was BRIGHT.  I decided to to switch two of the oranges out for a green and brown.  These are not colors that I think of when pumpkins. In the end I think it was the right choice.  These cards capture the beautiful Fall feeling.    What do you think?

Grass is Greener

Hi!

I'm so glad you stopped by today.  I know this is a little bit out of season, but here in NY we are still mowing our lawns and raking leaves.  I needed a thank you card for a neighbor who helped us out with our lawn.  Connor has been traveling for work and it was starting to look a bit like a jungle.  Our little push mower was not up to the job.  Our neighbor came to the rescue with his riding mower came to save the day.

The stamp set is from Stampin Up.  You can find the copic colors I used below.

THANK YOU. Thank you very Much!

 Hello friends,

Recently Stamping Bella released some "Oddball" stamps.  The eyes on these guys are a little weird but they are cute in their own way.  My favorite on the group is the Elvis stamps.  The accompanying sentiment is perfect for cardmaking.    I'm not a huge Elvis fan, but I can't read the sentiment without hearing Elvis's unique voice say it.   I have a few more of these oddball stamps.  I can't wait to ink them up.

As always I'd love to hear what you think,

Chris

Thank you Tulip

Greetings,

This card was a happy accident.  I was playing with leftover ink from the Spray Bouquet card I made last week.   I wanted to see how dye ink behaved on glossy cardstock.  I usually reach for my alcohol inks when I use glossy cardstock.  This was a happy surprise.  I love the hints of green.

You Rock

Hello friends,

About two months ago, I was asked to make some cards and dry erase boards to give to gifts on Administrator Appreciation day.   They wanted a "You Rock" theme.    I had a lot of fun with the challenge.  Here is some photos of the cards.

I hope everyone enjoyed their cards.

Watercolor Roses

Greetings,

I'm still having fun playing with watercolors.  I'm by no means...an expert, but it is fun from time to time and put my copics down.  What I love about watercolor is that each project looks different, but each one looks good.

I used a mix of orange, yellow, pink inks to create these flowers.

Rainbow of Thanks

Howdy,

I love rainbows!  Did you know that it is impossible for two people to see the same rainbow? Rainbows are formed when light is refracted through tiny droplets of rain.  Because no two people can occupy the exact same space we all experience are own special rainbow.   They are just proof that magic does exist in the world.  I have fallen in love with them on cards.    They bring just happiness everywhere they go....

Simple Thanks

Happy Friday all,

I needed a really quick and simple Thank you card.  I try to have a bunch of these made up to so I can just grab them when I need them.

I hope you all have a great weekend.  Connor and I are still scrambling to get ready for our trip.  We have hotels and most of our activities booked.  It is time to start thinking about packing.   It is starting to feel real!

One my favorite sayings has always been "The most precious gift you can give, is Time".   I needed some Thank you cards and wanted to incorporate that idea.  No copics today.  This is all done with stamps and ink.

Always Thankful

Hello,

One of the reasons last week was so busy, was I was babysitting these three lovely ladies.   It is a long story, but their Mom needed to go out of town for a few days and needed someone to watch the girls.   I was a little nervous at first, but we had a great time!   We hiked, swam, talked, played fetch with our dogs (who are "Dog Tired") and played games.  I'm thankful for these small moments.  We all know this to be true.  Real joy is found in unplanned little moments throughout the day.  However, we pack everyday so full work, chores, and responsibilities that we don't leave any room for them to sneak their way in.  After a string of busy days.. we forget and a pattern develops.   Then one day... something forces you to stop.  At first you might be a little resentful for disrupting the pattern, but then moments of joy sneak into your day.  Suddenly you resent the pattern.  We promise ourselves not to slide back into the old habits.  It took three 10 year olds and two days, but they made me remember that simple things are the most important things.  I'm always thankful to remember.   I hope some joy sneaks into your holiday weekend.

I made this card a while ago.. but he never left the craft room.  I thought it was about time to Let this Dog Out... LOL... sorry bad joke.

Copics used:  I kept him really simple.  I need to remember that simple is good.
