Happier than a Unicorn with...

Hello friends,

It was a hot and humid day here in NY.  I'm a summer girl, it didn't bother me one bit!  I wanted to inject some of this summer into the cards I was making.  I made a card with this unicorn a little while ago.  He was holding coffee.  I went through my other stamps to see what other food items he could munch on.  Can you get more watermelon than summer?  I think I might make a Autumn version of this card.  I love the playfulness of this!

Materials:

Lawn Fawn Watermelon Set: Watermelon Dies (I didn't use but they exist): Altenew Alphabet set: Unicorn: Copic Storage Box:
Copics- colors listed at bottom of the page
Rainbow inks- Any dye ink pads would work. I used colors from Stampin up, Hero Arts, and Taylored Expressions.

Here is the video I made showing how I created this card.  Check out how I modified the unicorn to hold the watermelon. If you are reading this in email.  The video will not play.  You need to click here.

I Love You-Calyptus

Hey Mate!

I'm playing a little catch up today.  I made this card back in March, but it was lost in the shuffle. I just found it in my stamping box.  I made this at the peak of the wildfires in Australia.  It was just breaking our hearts to hear the stories of koalas burning in the wildfires.  I'm so glad the fires are under control.   This was my way of sending a big hug to all the koalas.

Materials:
Koala Stamps are from MFT (retired)
the background die is from Memory Box

Sprinkles Please (House Mouse)

Hello,

House mouse stamps were some of my first stamps when I started stamping.  They are still among my favorites.  I had a request for birthday cards and this guy wandered onto my desk.   He clearly thinks there is a sprinkle shortage on his cupcake.

Materials:
House Mouse Stamp
Copic Storage box

In the video I will show you how I use copics to color fur and glass.  We will also add dimension to the cupcake wrapper.   I also used a glaze pen to give the sprinkles a more realistic look.

If you are reading this in your email the video will not play click here or go to the blog to watch.

I'm entering this card into the challenge over that the House Mouse challenge blog.  If you have a minute, please pop over and see what these creative ladies are making.

Going Nuts

Hello friends,

I've gone a little nuts and made several of these squirrel cards.  I usually think of Autumn when I think of squirrels.  Being stuck at home, I've realized how busy these guys are out in the yard. Don't worry, our dogs our monitoring the situation and watching their every move.   The dogs alert me when the squirrels have gotten out of line.  I open the door and they chase them back into submission.    Since they have become such a large part of my everyday life, I pulled out some stamps.

Materials used: (copic colors listed below)

Trio of Flowers

Hello friends,

I stumbled upon this die by Memory Box called stitched tulips.  I loved the idea of using ink to color the flowers and pop them back into the die.  It makes an elegant and clean card. I made two variations.  One card with colored butterflies and one with white.  I think I like the colored butterflies better.  What do you think?
