Sweet Wedding Roses

Hello friends,

One of my favorite parts of summer is all the weddings.  It is just a reminder that we are surrounded by love.  With all the horrible things in the news lately, it is something I welcome!

I love how soft and sweet this card feels.  I think this is becoming my new favorite red combination.

Rose Pocket Card

Hello friends,

I'm so excited for this post.  I've been experimenting a little with watercoloring.  I'm just a beginner, but so far I'm loving it.  It will not take the place of copics, but it is fun to do here and there.

I'm also in love with this giant rose die.  It is beautiful!

No copics today.  However, this card can be made with copics.
I would use
R32, R35, R37, R39
YG03, YG06, YG09

Flowers of the Month: Larkspur

Hello Friends,

We are celebrating Larkspur this month here at Lila Grey Stamps.   This is a flower that I'm not familiar with....so off to Google image.  I was pleasantly surprised when my screen filled with a beautiful purple!!

I chose a series of violet markers to create the plum-like color.   I used V01, V04, V05, V06 and V09. These can be tricky to shade.  To help with the blending I used V01 to help soak the paper with alcohol with paper to keep the ink moving.

I cropped the image off center to give the appearance of a whole field of flowers rather than just a single few.

I hope you enjoy this card.  I love the purple.  Thanks for stopping by
Chris

Super Mouse

Hello fellow super heroes,

Don't deny it...there are some days you should be wearing a cape!

I had a little trouble with the heat embossing.  I don't think clear stamps work as well for this technique.  I'll have to keep that in mind for the future.

Smiling about Die Cuts

Hello friends,

I have a fun floral card to share today.  I love the softness of this card.  I saw a similar idea in a card magazine.  I had to give it a try.

Simply Christmas

Greetings!

Thanks for joining me today.   I have a Christmas card to share with you today.  I can't believe that I'm starting to think about holiday cards again!  I feel like I just put my Christmas stamps away.  I also know from experience that it is never too early to start!!!  I'm worried that with a little baby to distract me... they might take me a little longer to finish this year!

Roses and Loved Ones

Hello Blogging Buddies,

Do you remember chalk?  I know right..  We used to use it all the time... but now it collects dust.  I keep forgetting and re-discovering it.  I'm in love with this card!

Land that I Love

Happy 4th of July!!

I made a fun card to mark the day!  I love how it turned out.  I think I'm a little out of practice with hair.  I'll have to pick some girls with luscious locks to practice on!!!

I drew in the American flag details.  I thought this was going to be tough... but thankfully, it is a small flag.  It easily hides the mistakes

I added a little glitter to the sparkler
