Check out these cuties.  They look like they have been ready for Fall.  I had this funny sentiment from Taylored Expressions  .  It paired perfectly with the squirrel from Whimsy.  I tried to keep the cards very simple so they could work for men or women.

It takes a long time to Grow...

 Hello!

I love this new sentiment from TJ Designs.    As you get older you realize how true this sentiment really is.  I embossed a white piece of cardstock with the daisy embossing folder.  Then is used my blending brushes to apply a soft coating of ink.  The ink did create a soft halo around each daisy... but that doesn't bother me.  I think it adds to the look.  What do you think? 

I finished the card off with some yellow stickles. Do you remember those? I haven't used mine in a while.

I've been inspired this month to dig through older things and use them.  I have an older stamp set by Altenew called Garden Treasures.  I used Pearl-ex or Perfect Pearls to make it look nice and shiny.

Shaky Snowman

 Greetings, 

How can it be this time of year already?  Christmas is just a few short months away.   My mom suggested that we start making a few Christmas cards to get ahead of the rush.  As much as it pained me to think about snow it was a smart idea.  

We made this card into a faux shaker.  It is a silly name because it is still a shaker, it just means that we use a cello bag instead of foam to create the walls of the shaker.  They are a lot easier to make than traditional shakers.

 Greetings! 

It has been HOT HOT HOT here in NY.  We don't have air conditioning...so we have pretty much living in the lake or camped out in front of a fan.   It is hard not to dream about ice cream!    

Since it is frowned upon to eat ice cream... for breakfast... lunch... and dinner.  I decided to ink up one of my favorites. I wonder if she would mind sharing?

You're Not Old...

Hi! 

Masculine cards can be such a challenge to make.  These new vintage stamps make them really easy.  I used a spotlight technique to highlight the man in the collage stamp.   I used the sentiment strip to ground the image.   It makes for a really fast and easy card.  This would be a great card to mass produce to have several masculine cards on hand.

Modern Grunge with Video Tutorial

Is modern grunge a thing?  Well... it might be now.   The theme this month at Technique Junkies is vintage.  If you follow me... you know that is a tough theme for me.   Sometimes that is the best... it challenges you to think outside the box.   I love this card.  Check out the video to see how I made it.

S'Whale

Hello!

Doesn't it feel good to use a stamp set that has been sitting unused for a long time.   I've been making an effort to chip away at my unused list.  I don't know why I waited so long to ink this guy up!  He is just so cute.   

I added bubbles with my stardust pen.  It added the perfect amount of sparkle to the card.

Feminine Vintage Card

 Happy August! 

It is release day at Technique Junkies and this month's theme is vintage/snarky.  LOVE IT!  I wanted to try to take a bright twist on a vintage stamp.  I chose to stamp the French newspaper on pink card stock rather than brown.  It gave it a more feminine look.   What do you think?    Stay tuned... there are a lot of great stamps in this release. I will have another card in a few days to share.  I can't wait!
