Bell Flower

Greetings,

I love the dimension that layering stamps can give. Alenew is my go to when I'm looking for flower layering stamps.  I'm not sure if this specific stamp is available anymore, but they have about fifty other flower styles to pick from.  All of them beautiful!

I made about 10 of these cards with all different sentiments.  It was nice to refill my card box a little.  I wish I tried a few other colors besides pink... I think they would look really pretty in purple or yellow.  What colors would you like to try?

Snowflakes

Greetings,

Well we are almost one month of the way through winter.  WhooHoo!  In just 120 days it is Memorial Day.  I'm a summer kid and I just can't wait to wear my flip flops again.   However, since I can beat the winter... I might as well embrace it.    Snowflakes are beautiful.    I tried my hand at creating variegated snowflakes using three different kinds of ink.   I used rhinestones to add a bit of sparkle to the center of each snowflake.

Inside reads:  Some of my best friends are flakes.

The Real Holiday

 Welcome,

This is my favorite of the Valentine's day cards this year.  I used an image from Art Impressions and paired it with this sentiment (sorry don't know who made it).  They worked beautifully together.   I hope you get a chuckle out this card.  Love these silly ladies!

Hugs to you all,
Chris

Big Kiss

Hello,

Colorado Craft Company has been releasing oversized stamps.  This one is call Bold Love's Kiss.  I stamped this in two different shades of red and then heat embossed it with a glitter embossing powder.   It makes the lips look like they are wet.  I wish the photographs captured that a bit better.   You will just have to trust me.   ðŸ˜‹   I've been having a lot of fun with these Valentine's Day cards this year.   I'm glad stamp companies are releasing a wider selection of stamps.

Twisted Hearts

Hello friends,

We live in upstate NY and we were covered with a thick layer of snow over the last day or so.   Most things were closed.  It was a good day to stay home and do a little catch up.  I was sorting and trying to put away things in my craft room and I found a trio of cards.  I think I made these three years ago.

I love the simple design.  All the focus in on the heart and fun sentiments.  Do you have a favorite in the bunch?

I didn't realize I smeared the inside of this.  :(  I'll have to go back and fix it.

Owl Always Love You

Hi!

Just a quick card today.  This is an adaptation of a card I made years and years ago.  I love this little owl, but you could put any critter and there.   I might poke through my sentiments and see if I have any other punny animals ones that would work.

I used pencils to color this.. but if you wanted to you use copics E44, E43, E15 to get the same look.

A Sad Goodbye

Hello all,
I try to keep this blog about mostly card stuff.  Today is not about cards.  Sorry... I'll get some of those up soon.    Today's post is about loss of our dog, Willett.   Thank you all for the support and kind words. I know many of you can relate.  There is just something special about how a dog can fill a house.  I'm so glad we still have Widget (her sister).  She is missing Willett too.   My family spent the evening cuddled on the couch watching home videos and sharing stories of Willett.

Below is what I posted on Facebook last night.  I have a million memories, but this is what I could squeak out:

Connor wanted to name her Willett because it was his favorite drink. I wanted to name her Willett because I thought it was funny.. "Will it come?" or "Will it sit?" It turned out to be a perfect name for this stubborn little fluff ball. She had the biggest heart and loved with every ounce of her oversized body. She never met anyone that wasn't her best friend. She was always looking for an opportunity to cuddle If your lap was empty, she would fill it. She would take advantage of any opportunity to lick you. If your toes poked out of the bottom of the blanket, she would let you know like she had been waiting all night for it to happen. She lived life with passion and heart. She blessed us each and everyday for 10 years. We loved her for every second of it. We knew our time was limited... but somehow it all happened too fast. She went to heaven today. We are all grieving, but I know we had something special because through all the tears we are laughing and smiling. She gave us that gift; years and years of memories. Love you Willett.

I adore you, Tilda

 Hi!

I have a sweet valentine to share with you today.  I love Tilda stamps.  She is just so sweet.   I struggle with card layout ideas for Tilda stamps.  I worry that all my cards look the same.   I had a tag left over from a Christmas tag project.  I thought it would be fun to see if I could use it on this Tilda card.   I loved how it turned it out.  What do you think?
