Falling for Gnomes

 Hello friends. 

I've been stamping for over 25+ years( gosh is that hard to admit to myself).  It has been amazing journey watching all the trends over the years.  Things come and go out of style just like anything else.   The coolest thing is seeing the improvements in products.   When I started,  decorative scissors were the newest and coolest product... we have come a long way... check out the detail in these dies.  The details are just incredible. 

I may have gone a little nuts, but I was having a blast.  If you asked if I was a gnome person... I would have said no.  Then I saw this Fall Add on- Gnome set and I was in love.   I couldn't wait to pulled out some scrap paper and have a die cutting party.   It was so fun mixing and matching and creating cards.  The sunflower and the acorn hats just warm my heart.   (pst...Christmas gnomes are in the works!)

Gnome Birthday Set-- has single gnome body in it.  You could just cut apart bodies in starter set to create cards.

Taylored Expression Ink Toffee or mini-  I used this to add some dimension to some of the die cuts

These stand up on a table or mantel as a little decoration.  I was thinking about making some into magnets.  What do you think?  Good idea or Bad idea?

Halloween Dance

 Hello! 

I'm so excited to share this card.   This Dancing Grim Reaper is too cute to spook.  The card is designed so that the body of the grim reaper swings side to side when you move the card.   It is just a fun effect.  What makes it even better is the funny sentiment that TJ created.    The inside reads: "However, there is a tiny box of souls in my underwear drawer".    Do you think the grim reaper wears underwear?

This is the new All About Halloween background stamp from TJ.  I love the different fonts and scary words that they incorporated into the design.  I can see myself reaching for this again and again.  I really wanted to highlight the words in this stamp.  I had some background left over from a pervious craft session.  I thought this one fit perfectly.

Hello all,

I'm poppin in with a little bit of funny today. I love cards that make people laugh. I've been collecting these police sentiments for a while now. I thought it was time to ink them up and get them on cards. I wanted to keep the cards simple to keep the focus on the joke. I'm worried they are a little too simple. What do you think?  Hello all, 

Die cutting has been part of the paper crafting world now for well over a decade, but as with all things it is forever changing.  Companies continue to get more and more creative and detailed with their dies.   When I saw this new set by Spellbinders I couldn't wait play with it.   I will admit I was a bit intimidated that it takes 20 dies to make this card... but it was super easy.  I had a lot of fun making 14 cards.   The best part is  I used all scraps to make this card (except the white card base).    My scrap bins can breathe a little!

Spiders

 Hello, 

I'm not a fan of spiders.   The only acceptable spider are the ones that  are made of paper and have adorable google eyes!   I used kite string to wrap around the grey card panel to create a web.   If you plan on recreating this card... I recommend that you stamp the sentiment first.   It was a lot easier to built your web around the sentiment than fit it in later.... (ask me how I know 😀)

Hello,

It is September... or as I like to called it Halloween EVE. Bust out the decorations, it is time to get SPOOKY!!! Technique Junkies has a full release of fun new Halloween stamps. I love all build a scene Haunted House set. The stamps are sized to work together to create a scene.

The background on the frequent flyer was created using the shimmer sprays by Technique Junkies. It just shines. I wish the camera could capture the shine.
