Howdy,

The Hot Air Balloon Festival is this weekend.  I love seeing all the colorful balloons over the lake.  It is on my bucket list to see the lake from a balloon on day.  This year.. I'll settle for watching Ryan discover them. 

I created a scene with the hot air balloons  and then used dies to create an eclipse card.  This is one of my favorite techniques.  It is perfect for scene cards like this.

Thoughts of Tilda

Hello friends,

I'm still working on turning the pile of Tilda's I colored up in July into cards.  I'm in love with this how this turned out.  When I started, I didn't have a clue where this design was going.  I just kept playing until it came together.  I might have to make a few more of these.  She is just so cute!

We made it through another week. WHOOHOO!!  I've had this card in my head for a while.  It feels good to see it on paper.   I love the simple, elegant look of this card.  I hope you do too..

Pearls and Flowers

Welcome,

One of my students requested that we make another pearl watercolor with a flower.  It was a great suggestion.   We gold heat embossed the flower and then used pearl watercolors to add color.  This is one of those cards that does not photograph well.  It is slight shimmer in real life.

The stamp is by Concord and 9th.

I'd fight a Dragon for you...

Hello,

I love magical things.  Mermaids, unicorns, and dragons oh my!  Needless to say when I saw this dragon I needed to color him up!. The dragon, sentiment and castle is from Blue Knight Rubber stamps.  The flame is from MFT.

 There is a little typo here... I already fixed it.  It wasn't too hard to add an "e"

I'm playing with some of the new stamps from the Blue Knight Rubber stamps release.  One of my favorite things about Blue Knight is the silhouette stamps.   I used chalk to create the background and then stamped the wolf in black ink.   The sentiment if from Unity.

Summer Flower Tidla

Greetings friends,

It had been awhile since I had inked my my Tilda stamps up.  I felt like they needed a little love.  I took a handful of them with me while on vacation to color up.   It was very therapeutic. I couldn't wait to get them onto cards when I got home.

Cozy Christmas Puppy

Hello all,

I have another one of the pup's colored up from MFT.   It took me a long time to figure out that he was wearing a scarf.  I thought it was a cape.  I asked everyone in the house and looked at other samples online and still wasn't sure.  Then it hit me.  Duh?  I added some stripes to make it more scarf-like.   It is amazing how a little bit of color can bring a black and white image to life.

Hello all,
