Santa Suit

Happy Black Friday,

I hope you had a nice day with your families yesterday.  We spent the day with my Mom, Sister, and Connor's parents.  We are so blessed that his parents and my family get along.  So we can spend holiday together rather than have to divide them up.

I have a quick card for you today, so you will have time to sneak out and take advantage of all the sales today.   If we go out, we will wait for the crowds to go back to bed.

We made this card in the November Card Lover's class.  If you need a quick Christmas card, this is a good one.  I found an embossing folder that reminded me of a Christmas sweater.  So we just added a little texture to Santa's Suit.

Close up of the embossing pattern.

Snow Family

Hello all!

I'm sorry I've been absent for the last week or so.  Connor and I had a great trip to Thailand. I promise to share some photos and stories after we get them sorted.  Between the two of us, we managed to take over 5000 photos.  I know...I little crazy.

Adjusting back to life at home was a little rough.  There is a 12 hour time difference between Thailand and New York.  The jet lag hit me hard. I felt like a walking zombie most of last week.  I'm feeling better now, and chipping away at my "to do" list.    I'm excited to get back to a normal schedule.   So THANK YOU all for your patience with me.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I have a cute little card to share with you.  Love this cute little Snow Family...

Warm Friends

Hello Stampers,

I have a fun Christmas card today.  I love reindeer and snowman.  They are just so darn cute!  These two look like they have been best friends for a long time.

Deer: E30, E31, E33, E35, E37, E39 E50, E53
Reindeer nose: W5, W3- gel pen

I added glitter to the snow.  I also added glitter to the punched out snowflake, so it matched.  I tried glitter paper, but it didn't match the snow on the snowman.  This looked so much better.
I colored the gem stone with G24

Balancing Act

Hello Stampers,

This time of year is always hectic.  I think we can relate to this little mouse.  It is hard to keep all the balls in the air.

I played around a little with the texture of the ornaments.  I made two versions on this card.  One I tried to make the ornaments looks like they were satin or covered in a smooth material.  The second card I wanted them to sparkle.

I didn't stamp a sentiment on the front of this card.  Not sure what I wanted to to say...yet.  I kind of like that the focus is on this cutie.

I added glitter to these ornaments, but notice is strategically placed to keep the ornaments looking round.

One of a Kind

Happy Saturday,

I wanted to make an non-traditional, but elegant winter or Christmas card.  I played around with a few different colors, and purple was perfect!  These two shades of purple created the soft look I was aiming for.

I added pearls for a little dimension.

Victory is Possible

Hello Friends,

October was Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  Each year, I try to make at least one card to bring awareness to such an important issue.  I'm a little late getting this posted, but I wanted to share.  I love this little bunny.  The ribbon can be colored in any color...so you can use it for any of the ribbon campaigns.

I added the pink paper ribbon with the pink heart. I thought it was the perfect embellishment for this card.

I wanted to send out a HUGE hug to anyone that is suffering or has a family member suffering from Breast Cancer.   Hopefully together we create a world where no one has to suffer from cancer.

Christmas Cottage

Happy Monday,

Winter is on its way, the weather man is threatening us with snow flurries.  It won't be long until we are covered in a blanket of snow.  I always prefer the summer months... but winter has its own way of making the world beautiful.   I love the way the snow clings to the branches creating a winter wonderland.    This stamp captures this so perfectly.

Copics used:
Blue: B00, B000, B0000
Trees: C3, C1
House: E33, E31, E30
Trees: G46, G43, G40
Fence: E44, E47
I used my 2-way glue pen to add glitter.   This card really sparkles
I sponges a tiny tiny little bit of blue at the top of the card to give a little hint of sky.  I didn't want this to be the focus.
