Mystery Flower: Can you Name that Flower?

This week has gone by in a flash.  Connor and I are leaving in just a few short hours for Cleveland.  This trip serves a duel purpose.  Connor's family lives in Cleveland and it will be great to visit.  However, I will be sneaking away for a day to attend the stamping Convention in Akron!  I went to this convention about 8 years ago.  It was awesome. There are about 25-30 stamp companies were there with the newest products.  I hope to squeeze in a class or two and learn something new.  I can't wait to share my experience with you!

While I'm gone, I'm leaving you with the Mystery Flower card.  I created this with a giant stamp from Stampendous.  I colored it in using a pinkish-red copics.  I was convinced it was a Tiger Lilly.  Then I took the card to class and I was out voted.  Everyone had their own thoughts as as to what kind of flower it was.  I'm not sure... but I think it is pretty.   What do you think? Can you name that flower?

Copics used:

Red: R20, R21, R22
Blue: B00, B01, B000

Notice the pointillism used around the edges of the flower. It gives it a tropical feel.

Wedding Card Topper

I was asked to color a few images for an upcoming wedding.  I have colored this image several times.  It is still one of my favorites! Edwin and Tilda are just SO SO Sweet!

I'm not sure what the customer will use it for, but I think this would look so precious in a picture frame with a photo of the bride and groom.  I hope the customer is as happy as I am with the end result.

I tried a new copic combo for the blonde hair.  I really like it.  It is my new favorite.

Updated on June 17th, 2014:

As mentioned above, this one of my most popular wedding cards. I colored it up again recently. Here is the finished card.  It is so sweet.  I love that it is so easily customizable.   Just chance the color of the flowers and ribbon to match the wedding colors.   I always default to red when I don't know the colors, it is just a classic and romantic color.

Chick With Brains

The warm weather is amazing.  Things are starting to wake up.  Yesterday, I found a spider wandering across the floor.  Sadly the dogs saw him too.  He is in a better place now.  **Smiles**

I'm so proud of all my friends as they approach their graduation dates.  You have worked hard for the last few years and deserve to celebrate your accomplishments!!

A Field of Flowers

This card is part of the April's Card Lover's Class.  I created the field of flowers using a stamp set from Stampin Up called Simply Soft.   The trick was not to overlap the flowers when you stamp.    This card is is easy to make, but it takes a little while to color.   There are lots of little details in the flowers.

Blue: B12, B16

Victory is Always Possible

Hello Stampers!

I finished another card using a Saturated Canary Stamp.  I used the "Pitcher" stamp from CHA release.   I really like the idea of this card.  I thought this sentiment went perfectly with the image.   I get a lot of requests for card for people battling Breast Cancer.  This card will work for well for anyone going through a tough time.   I wish there was a little more room on the card.  They are a little squished together.

Toad You

I purchased this stamp many years ago from a company called Mostly Animals.  Sadly, the company is no longer around.    Last week I was asked to host a coloring contest at the local youth center.  I wanted to find a challenging image that would appeal to kids of all ages.   These Toads were PERFECT!

The kids did a great job with their Toads.  I loved watching them work.  They aren't afraid to experiment with color or draw in more scenery.  It was a very hard contest to judge!

Elegant Butterfly

Hello friends,

I wanted to share a card from the Rochester Card Lover's Class.  I had a great time with you ladies today.  You did great work.

This little 4.25 by 4.25 inch square card is easy and elegant.  We clear embossed my favorite butterfly from Stampin' Up's Wonderful Wings set.  The card stock is ivory.   The greeting is stamped with Crumb Cake Ink.  I also sponged a little on the butterflies.   The card is accented with ivory ribbon and a butterfly( crumb cake ink sponged on its wings).
