Get Well Floral Spray

Hello friends,

I've been trying to replenish my stash of  "Get Well" cards.   They seemed to disappear over the Winter.   I purposefully didn't not blend the strokes out on the petals.  I thought it had a more natural look.   I used a gel pen to break up the color in the center of each flower.

Recipe for Happiness

Howdy!

I have wanted to color up this cute little Italian guy for years.  He has been collecting dust.  I don't think dust tastes good on spaghetti.   I'm so glad that I cleaned him off and put him to use.   Maybe we should have spaghetti for dinner tonight?  YUM YUM YUM!

Double Duty--watercolor

Welcome,

I have two cards to share with you today.  I'm calling them sister cards.  I wanted to share because I'm sure my fellow card makers can relate.    It starts as all good crafting stories do... on Pinterest.  I won't bore you with all the details.... lets just say I didn't get the same results.   I was determined not to toss the end products in the trash.    After a lot of playing around... here is my Pintwist (Yep... I made that up).

I ended up making two cards.  I learned a lot.  Therefore, I'm calling it a success.

Poppin' in with Poppies

Greetings,

I must be tired of winter.   I find that flowers have crept their way onto every card I've made in the last week or so.  I can't say I'm sorry.... nothing brightens up a dreary winter day like FLOWERS!

I added some color to this poppy die cut.  Hopefully this cad will brighten someone's day!

This happened about a week ago.. but it was too cute not to share...

We went to the youth center to make Valentine's with the kids.  He had a blast watching the older kids creating.  He just couldn't help himself.  He got his hands on a stamp pad and it went straight into his mouth.  Thankfully it is non-toxic.   I can't imagine it tastes good, but he was pretty proud of himself.

Rosy Birthday

Welcome friends,

I wanted to bust out this old chalking technique.   It didn't work out how I planned, but I liked the end result.   I love the soft look of chalk.    The colors blended together so smoothly.

In the Swing of Things

Hello all,

I made this card ages ago.  It was brought to my attention that I left it off the blog.   I was thinking of remaking this card and discovered that it never got its day on the blog.   I really like this card, it reminds me how much I've grown.    However, the unblended look has a certain charm on this card.  What do you think?

Kiss, Kiss I love You

Hello!

I'm afraid that the photos of this card will not do it justice.  When you open the card, the pandas kiss.

Outside of the card-  I wanted to keep this simple to keep the focus on the inside.
When you open the card the pandas slide together and kiss.

Toadally Awesome!

Greetings!

I have another card to share with you from the Valentine's series I made this year.  I love these little stamps.   I tried to keep these cards really simple so people could get them finished and in the mail.   However, I couldn't resist making this frog hold the heart.  I used an exacto-knife to cut his fingers.  I slipped the die cut heart into his hand.    It probably is an unnecessary detail, but I thought it was cute!
