Happy Christmas

Many people are putting up their Christmas Trees this weekend.  I'm so jealous.  I'm not that organized.  This Santa card is going to have to do!

Copics:
Red: R24, R29, R59
Star: YR23, Y28
Tree: YG03, YG07
Reindeer: E25, E23, E37
Shading in Santa's Beard: W2, W1

To make the stitching around the side, I use a black gel pen and made little dash marks.  It ties the whole card together!

Hugs,
Chris

Turkey-October Student Work

Turkey October-Student Work

October went in a blink of an eye. In fact, much of November as well.  I'm so sorry that it has taken me this long to post your work.  I've been buried under a pile of holiday cards.

October's theme was Turkeys!!  You guys gobbled this Challenge up!

by Donna
 Donna,  the paper is beautiful
by Connie

Connie,  love the turkey.  Cute solution to not having a turkey stamp.
by Louise
Louise,  I love your creative approach to not having a turkey.  Can you guys believe that this is a peacock?

November's theme is a color challenge.  Make a card that uses red, white and silver.  You do great work!  I can't wait to see what you create.

Gobble Gobble,
Chris

Wonderfall Leaves

I love the texture on this card.  I used a new fall set from Stampin Up.  The cool thing about this card is the designs by Stampin Up.   Each stamp was created to match a die cut.  No Scissors are required to make this card.  Making this card easy and quick.

I love the texture!

Happy Stamping!
Hugs,
Chris

Snowflakes Can be Green

Hello Everyone,   I have missed writing!

I have been really busy with classes.  I'm starting a new copic series at a local craft store.  I'm still in the planning phase.  I have been mulling over ideas and projects, doing my best to create a projects that progressively become more challenging as we go. I look forward to sharing those with you as

As a result, the blog has been waiting patiently for a new card.  Well bloggers...they are coming...  It is probably is wishful thinking, but I hope to get them up this week.

Snowy Tree
This card idea is not a new idea.  It is just new to me.  There are so many cool cards out there that use snowflakes to make beautiful pictures.   I used seven Green (yes..GREEN) snowflakes to make this Christmas tree.  It felt a little strange to punch out snowflakes out of a dark green card stock.  However, when put against the brown background, it all came together.
I finished off each snowflake with a red rhinestone.  The tree is topped off with a star.... I think... not totally sure what to call that shape.   Around the edges of the card I used a white gel pen to create a stitched effect.  The card is simple, playful and I managed to do it without using a single copic marker!  It tis' the season for miracles.

Many Hugs
Chris

Supply list:
Punch: Martha Stewart's Snowflake
Paper: kraft, wild wasabi, chocolate chip, white
Other: gel pen, red rhinstone
Stamp: Sentiment is from Papertrey... I think.

A Child is Born

My heart goes out to anyone that was affected by the storm.  We were very blessed. We experienced a lot of rain and wind, but no damage.    I hope this post finds you warm and safe!

I love this simple Christmas Card.   It is rare that I make cards that are only one layer.   However this card seems perfect just the way it is.  I wanted the focus to be on baby Jesus.

Copics used:
Skin: E000, E00, R00
Dress: Y28  (I was going for a gold dress, It isn't as gold as I would have liked)
Hair: E25, E23
Manger: E71, E74, E77
Baby Blanket: B05, B02
Ground Shadow: W3, W1, W0
I used glitter on the wings and band on her dress.
