Udderly Ridiculous Card

Hello Stampers!
I have a silly card for you today.    I wanted to created a card that would make spark a smile!  I stamped the cow several times on the white card stock.  I wanted the "birthday" cow to stand out, so I colored them blue.   The rest are all identical.

I think I'd like to make another card similar to this card.   In the remake, I'd change the sentiment to read "There is One in Every Crowd".  What do you think?

Copics:
Pink: RV52, RV55
Blue: B00, B02
Flower: Y18, YR15, YG61, YG63

Love begins in a Moment

We woke up to a heap of snow this morning.  The sounds of snow plows going down our street.  Connor said that while he was cleaning off the car this morning,  the new falling snow would freeze on the window before he could get the other window cleaned off.

Needless to say, many things were closed today.  Although I was looking forward to seeing my stamping friends, I needed a day.   I spent the morning engrossed in absolutely nothing!  I watched the snow fall, flipped through the channels and cuddled with puppies.  I was so busying doing all of those things I feel asleep!  I know that sounds minor, but that is an accomplishment for me!!

When I woke up, I was ready to go.  I worked on some cards, and cleaned a bit.  Not too bad!  Maybe we all should get a nap everyday!

This card has been waiting patiently for its turn to make it's debut on the blog.  This card could be used as a Valentine's Day card or just as a reminder to that special someone.

Copics used:

Hugs,
Chris

I love you more today

Hello Friends,
If you are on the East Coast, I hope you are warm. Yesterday was crazy cold, even our puppies wanted to hide under a blanket.  I spent the day working on samples for the new Copic Level 3 class. I love how they turned out.  I'll share them in a later post.

Today, I want to share a card from Monday's class.  This is my Valentine's Day Card of the year.   I used one of my favorite Tilda stamps.  She is sweet.

I paired the stamp with an old sentiment for Stampin Up.

Just Chillin' Bucket

I found these cute little buckets at Target a few months ago in the dollar section at the front of the store.  I immediately thought of this stamp.  What could be more perfect than a Snowman in a bucket!  I filled the bucket with chocolate chips and mini snow-caps.  It is a great little winter Thank You Gift for those people who take great care of us.

Stay Cool

The temperature in Upstate New York continues to drop.   BBBRRRrrrr.....

I'm continuing with the winter friends theme.  This cute little penguin card was part of Jan's Card Lover's class.  We had a lot of fun in Rochester last weekend.  I'm looking forward to seeing my Corning friends this Friday.

I like this chubby Penguin.  I stamped him on Stampin' Up's top note die cut.  Then colored him with copics.  Their is a touch of glitter on his hat and on the ground.

Winter Friends

Hello Stampers!

I'm not sure where you are located, but the thermometer has been moving steadily in one direction.... DOWN.  At times like this, I'm glad we have two cute little puppies to cuddle with.  They keep me nice and toasty.

Our card today celebrates our winter friends.  This little penguin and polar bear are adorable.

Whipper Snapper: Puff and Stuff
I must have had Christmas on the brain... If I was going to change something about this card, I would change the color of the present.  I think the red present makes the card look a little like Christmas.  I wanted to make this more of a winter birthday card.  Below the colors I used, but I would suggest using purples or blues for the gift.

Copics used:
Blacks/Grey: C7, C5, C3, C1, C0
Blue: B01, B00, B000
Gift: R29, R24, G28
Orange: YR17

I finished the card off with some glitter on the penguin's hat.

Have a Heart

Hello again,

Today I'm just popping by with a quick post.  I made this non-traditional Valentine's Day card. I love the texture of this card.  Each heart is embossed with a different pattern.

Have a wonderful day!

Fairy Good Friend

Change is good, right?

I remember when I was little, I hated onions.  I remember refusing to eat anything that had onions in it.  I may have even cried and thrown a fit.  Now, I order food with onions all the time.  There was also a decade of time that I hated the color PINK.  I mean hated PINK.  Now, it is one of my favorite colors.  In the last week, I've noticed a new change to add to the list.  Fairies.  I have been stamping for about 15 years and have more stamps that I would ever admit too.  However.... not a single one was a fairy.  Just couldn't get behind the idea.

As I was putting away some new stamps, I noticed many of them have wings.  When I placed the order... it didn't occur to me they had this feature in common. What happened? I'm still not ready to start a fairy collection.  I'm not going to get a Tinkerbell tattoo, but I think I'm going to love using my new fairy stamps!!!

The background color of this card is a dark purple (Elegant Eggplant).  It is really dark in the photos.

Happy Friday Stampers!  Another week has flown by... I'm excited to see my Rochester friends tomorrow.  I have had a few requests for more get well cards.  As I was pawing through my stamps, I came across this sentiment.  It fit perfectly with Baseball stamp.  I found this pink and white striped decorative paper.  The card came together very quickly.  Simple and Cute!

Snowman in the window

Hello Stampers!

The snow is starting to melt in upstate New York.   It is sad to see it go.  My husband went snowboarding today to enjoy the flakes before they go.  I'm not much into winter sports.  I prefer to drink hot chocolate and make snowman cards.

This card is also going to part of the Card Lover's Class on Jan 12th and Jan 18th.  We are making 6 cards for $20.  Email me for more details.  This card is a lot of fun, don't miss it!!

My Picks for 2012

Starting a New year is a great time to for reflection.  2012 for me was a great year.  Purple Lake Stamps Family has grown a lot in the last year.  I'm so proud of my stampers. I love to see how they grow each class.  I'm excited to see what we create together in 2013.

These are my favorite projects from 2012...

I'm looking forward to another year full of creativity and friendship!
 Happy New Year!
