O Come Let Us Adore Him...

We are continuing on with the Christmas theme this week.  This card features some brayering.  I forgot how much fun this technique is.   For this card we created a warm sunset for these Wise Men.  I like that this card combines a traditional Christmas card, but uses non-traditional colors.  What do you think?

No copics today.  Don't worry, I'll be back to coloring soon!

A Closer Look at Christmas

I've decided to post to dedicate this week to Christmas.  I'm slowly working on getting some Christmas cards finished.  The idea for today's card has been bouncing around in my head since last Christmas.  I had to make several rough drafts to figure out how to get this to fold properly.

I love it as you open each door on the card, you get a closer look at baby Jesus.   This card was worth the extra effort.  It is just a sweet take on the Christmas story.

No copics today.  I used watercolor on this one.  Weird, I know!

Miss You

Hello crafty people,

This card is one of my favorites from the September Card Lover's class.   Black and White card making has been such a hot trend, I had to try it.  I almost succeeded.  I couldn't resist splattering some purple and green ink on the front.  It was just a little.  Can we call it almost Black and White card?

Pumpkin Blessing

Hello friends,

I'm so excited to share this card with you.  I had so much fun coloring this cutie up.  I tried something a little different with the shading.  I think it created a more dramatic look.   I usually use brown on a fall card, but I'm loving her black dress.  What do you think?

Hello friends,

Do you remember brayering?  I had forgotten about it too.   I'm glad I got it out and got inky.  Such a fun card to make.
