I could EXPLODE!

Hello friends,

I had some requests for masculine birthday cards.  Geez, they can be a challenge to make.  After playing around with several ideas,  I think this was the best fit.  I love the clean and simple look of this card.  It took everything I had to resist putting glitter all over these balloons.

Stacked Birthday Wishes

 Hello,

I really enjoyed making this card.  Can you tell?  I made about ten of them in about six colors.   This is such a cute stamp set from Stampin Up.  When you untie the twine, the card pulls open to reveal a whole tree full of friends wishing the recipient a Happy Birthday.

Copics have a nasty way of bleeding through cardstock.  I decided that watercolors to paint this card.  It was faster and I think it gives this card a more organic look.

No copics today-- watercolors used to color these.

Above Par

 Hi!

I had a couple requests for some golfing cards.  We are long overdue for some masculine cards.  I thought it would be fun give it a go.  Golfing always makes me think of wild patterns and colors.  I searched through my pattern paper and found this argyle (well sort of) paper.   I pulled some colors out of the paper to color up our golfing friend.   This is backwards from my normal process.   I usually color an image and then pray I can find a paper to match.  This card came together so easily.  I need to make myself do this more often.  What do you do first? Design the card or color the image?

Blue: B01, B00  Then I drew on the stripes with B02 marker

Piece of Cake

 Hello friends,

You know I love rainbows... I'm always looking for ways to incorporate some color into a card.  This cake has just enough layers to make a fun little rainbow.  I thought I would try for pastel or softer color palate.  I really liked how it turned out.  This color scheme Takes the Cake!
