Warm Winter Wishes
Hello,
Winter is almost officially over. I know it won't feel like it is over for another month, but I'm so ready. It is my least favorite time of the year. The only redeeming part is the adorable snowman that can be crafted from that yucky white stuff. When I realized there where seven of these guys... I couldn't resist making coloring them into a rainbow. I sent this out as a winter birthday card to a dear friend. It was like sending a whole snow party in a card.

Slimline Snow
Greetings,
I love snowman. They are always so happy. I don't know what they are happy about. It is cold and yucky outside... but they are happy. This is a set from Papertrey Ink. It captured my heart right away. I love the texture body of the snowman. It kind of reminds me of wood. I thought it was unique. The accessories in the set made it really easy to decorate this snow-person.
As a side note-- I used a white gel pen to add lots of details to the scarf, hat, and buttons.

Giant Snowflakes
Hello,
This morning as I type this small snowflakes are falling from the sky. It is a bit windy outside so they are not falling straight down but rather darting around. It is really beautiful.
I love this new die by Spellbinders. It makes a shaped card. It is a large die it is 6 inches across. The dies comes with some small floral dies to accent the snowflake. I don't think I would have thought to put flowers on a snowflake, but it really is festive and fun. I finished off each with a foiled sentiment and wink of stella to add some sparkle.

Winter Blues
Hello friends,
I got the new kit from Hero Arts. As of this posting they still have a few kits left. This kit has a set of three dies that create this beautiful scene. I opted to get the premium kit to get the three animals that you can pop into the scene to add a little interest. I used all three dies in this set of cards, but I look forward to experimenting with using the dies in different combinations. This kit is full of endless creativity.
Just a note... this kit is part of their limited edition products. Once they are gone... they are done. This was a kit I had to have. I love nature and animals. I love that you are able to make Christmas and winter cards with it. Check to see if they have the kit here
I picked four shades of blue/purple from a monochromatic color pack. I played around with the order of the blues. It made a huge difference in the final result.
I splattered each card with white paint to create the look of snow. I also experimented a little with the coloring (colors listed below). Do you like the white animals or the colored ones? I'm on team color.

Marshmallows and Cocoa
Hello,
I'm so excited! If you follow me, you know I love Tilda. It has been chilly here in NY and the perfect time for Hot Chocolate! I had some left over patterned paper from this project I did earlier this month. I decided to use some of it to create these cards. As I was coloring her up, I couldn't decide if she was wearing shoes or socks. I've always colored her feet at shoes... but for some reason these seem like socks to me. I realize that they could be either.. but I'm curious. What do you think? Shoes or Sock?

All About Winter
Hello!
That white, cold stuff is falling from the sky. It may be cold, but it does make everything look beautiful. This penguin seems to be enjoying herself. She is from a die set called Winter Squad. I placed her right above the word "Winter" to highlight the word. I used sparkle gel pens to add polka dots to her scarf. I love all the sparkle. These new background stamps make perfect backdrops to these characters.

Shaky Snowman
Greetings,
How can it be this time of year already? Christmas is just a few short months away. My mom suggested that we start making a few Christmas cards to get ahead of the rush. As much as it pained me to think about snow it was a smart idea.
We made this card into a faux shaker. It is a silly name because it is still a shaker, it just means that we use a cello bag instead of foam to create the walls of the shaker. They are a lot easier to make than traditional shakers.

Crazy Penguin
Welcome,
This is my second post for today. I'm probably going to double post for a few days. I wanted to get all the cards posted before convention next week. The expression on this penguin's face makes him perfect for any type of snarky card. He just looks like he has seen a little mischief.

Snowflakes
Greetings,
Well we are almost one month of the way through winter. WhooHoo! In just 120 days it is Memorial Day. I'm a summer kid and I just can't wait to wear my flip flops again. However, since I can beat the winter... I might as well embrace it. Snowflakes are beautiful. I tried my hand at creating variegated snowflakes using three different kinds of ink. I used rhinestones to add a bit of sparkle to the center of each snowflake.
Inside reads: Some of my best friends are flakes.

Wrapped in Love
Hello,
Check out these cute little foxes. I chose to color the hat in Christmas colors, but I think next time I would use blues to make this a winter card. Gosh they are sweet!

Chubby Snowman
Welcome,
This snowman must have been in quarantine for a long time. He definitely gained the covid--19lbs. Personally I love chubby snowman. It just makes him more adorable.
I used my colored pencils to color this card. I love the way the white colored pencil pops off the darker cardstock. I think you could use any brand of pencils to do this. However, for about $2.50 (less if you use a coupon) at Michaels/Joannes you can buy a prismacolor white pencil. In my opinion, it gives the best creamy white results. It is a nice thing to have in your stash.
