Ain't Yer Pasture

Hello all!

I love the way white colored pencil looks on kraft cardstock.  It looks so bright it almost glows.   I wanted the focus to be on this silly cow, so I kept the cards pretty simple.  I finished each one a little differently.  Do you have a favorite?   I had a really hard time picking between the gingham and green ribbon.

Flower Frame

Hello!

Today is release day at Technique Junkies.   This release is awesome!  There are so so many fun stamps.  The mermaid stuff if my favorite!  I've saved some of those cards to share with you later this month.  Today I'm sharing the cards I made with the Flower frame.   This stamp has so much detail.  I really wanted showcase the detail.  I chose to do that with an old technique called "Pulling Pastels".

I covered an entire piece of cardstock with chalk.  Then stamped the image in versamark.  The versamark is sticky and pulls the chalk off the paper.  Showing all the detail in this beautiful stamp. I hope you love it.  Stop by and see what the other team members created.

This one I used delicata ink to stamp the flowers.  Delicata ink has a sparkle to it.  I wish the camera could pick up that detail.

Sea Turtles

Hi!  Thanks for stopping by today.   The swap theme for this month (May)is Mermaids and Ocean.  I was inspired by our trip in February.  We visited an sea turtle hospital in Florida keys.  We learned that all species of sea turtles are endangered.   I can't imagine a world without them.   I hope that by celebrating them and getting the word out we can reduce plastics and pollutants in the water.  There is space for everyone on this planet.

To create this card I stamped the turtle in green on Ivory cardstock and then again in brown on Kraft cardstock.  I cut the brown shell out and popped it up on the cut out green turtle.  I created a fun aquatic scene by stamping bubbles and fish.
