I've had this set for a LONG time. It has sat and sat, I always miss Valentne's day day. I really wanted to get these inked up. I really think they are adorable. I finished them all off in the same style of card with a variety of sentiments. Do you have a favorite?

This card has been sitting on my desk since the summer. I made this card with a kit from Spellbinders. You can see the card here. I love the bottle card, but I wanted to make a simpler version of the card. I tried to put together a few elements to make the cards below. I did get stuck on the design for a bit... I couldn't figure out how to dress up the embossing folder. It just felt flat. In the end I went with ink blending a dark blue ink on the bottom and splattering some ink to create bubbles. I think that made all the difference. I love that when I have time, I can pull out the full kit and have a die cutting party. When I'm short on time I can make this version.

Valentine's Day is the second most popular for sending cards. Have you started thinking about the cards you will send this year? I used to think of making just one card for my hubby, but now I like to make cards for all my friends....especially the ones that need a little extra love at this time of year. This lion stamp is so sweet. It is two female lions sharing a hug. I think it will be perfect to send to a girlfriend that needs a pick-me-up.

Check out the detail on this stamp. You can almost see the dog hair on your clothes! I joke, but the detail is super amazing. I not-so-secretly hope that she comes out with a lab version of this stamp.

Do you ever had an idea bouncing around in your head and can't wait to get it out on paper? I used the mini ink spots to ink up the Concrete Texture background stamp. It works out perfectly to fit five colors evenly across the image. I love the subtle rainbow that it creates. It is just full of texture!! I finished the card off with a love die. I used both the negative and the positive to add a sentiment. Do you like the Hello or the Love version better?

Do you remember that feeling you got at school when you exchanged Valentine's with your classmates? It was magical, right? Ryan and I sat down yesterday and assembled all of Valentines. He is so excited to share the with his friends. It has inspired me to try to get a few more out in the mail to spread the cheer.
This card was a lot of fun to make. I love the ombre background. I stamped the background stamp in three different colors of ink. I used red at the top, medium red in the middle and pink at the bottom. I thought it added some interest. I masked off the bottom so I could add a simple I love you.

Valentine's Day is a little less than a month away. Do you have any special plans? My husband and I keep it simple. I always make him a card. He is a huge coffee drinker. I thought I would do something coffee themed this year. The new Inside out Set is making that so easy! I love how this project turned out. What do you think? You can see how I made this card here

I wanted to do a little experimenting with the Open Heart stamp. This stamp is so elegant. I thought it would look pretty in white/silver perfect pearls. I really liked how it turned out so I wanted to make a second one. This time I used my versamark marker to fill in the center of the hearts. I'm not sure what version I like better. The filled in hearts are certainly bolder. What is your preference?

My favorite part of this card is the "Love You" die. The designers at Avery elle made magic when they created this. I love the font and the heart accents. It is by far one of my new favorite dies in my stash. I adapted the idea from the Avery Elle blog and put the new dragon stamp behind the E in Love. I think it made it a really sweet card.

I love experimenting with new products. I couldn't resist when I found small tubs of stencil paint on clearance at Hobby Lobby. The paint in really thick. It looked a lot like pink butter. I used a spatula tool to spread it over a stencil.
It is hard to tell from the photos, but all the little hearts are 3D. It took them about 15 minutes to dry. All in all it was pretty easy and fun to play with. If you do give this a try, remember to wash your stencils right away. The paint came off pretty easy, but if you let it dry it might be more difficult to wash off.

This is my favorite of the Valentine's day cards this year. I used an image from Art Impressions and paired it with this sentiment (sorry don't know who made it). They worked beautifully together. I hope you get a chuckle out this card. Love these silly ladies!

Colorado Craft Company has been releasing oversized stamps. This one is call Bold Love's Kiss. I stamped this in two different shades of red and then heat embossed it with a glitter embossing powder. It makes the lips look like they are wet. I wish the photographs captured that a bit better. You will just have to trust me. 😋 I've been having a lot of fun with these Valentine's Day cards this year. I'm glad stamp companies are releasing a wider selection of stamps.
