Don't get Spooked

 Hello!

I love experimenting.  I did this technique about 5 years ago.  I forgot how addictive it is.  I made a video to show you how I did it.

Beauty all its own

 Happy July!

It has been tropical here in NY.  It is a perfect to celebrate the new release at Technique Junkies.  This is a corner stamp, but I was able to ink up a narrow panel in three shades of green.  I love the tropical scene it created.  I accented it with die cuts I had in my stash.   How do you think it turned out?  I love the summer look!

Stamps are from Technique Junkies-- use code TJ10Chris to save 10%

Sunrise Butterflies

Welcome,

I love playing with color.  I often use black butterflies to decorate a colorful background.  I thought it would be fun to try the opposite.  This time I sponged the butterflies to look like a sunrise.  I kept the background simple and stamped a flower background with white pigment ink.   This ink is wonderful.  It works perfectly for this technique.

Stamps used:
Flower background
Butterflies are by MFT but were discontinued.  However, I found these and they are similar.
White ink

Thank you Tulip

Greetings,

This card was a happy accident.  I was playing with leftover ink from the Spray Bouquet card I made last week.   I wanted to see how dye ink behaved on glossy cardstock.  I usually reach for my alcohol inks when I use glossy cardstock.  This was a happy surprise.  I love the hints of green.

Million Magic Wishes

Happy Monday,

I'm still using up some of the backgrounds I made.  I love the way the silhouette stamps look on the these distress ink backgrounds.   I can see this being addicting.

Cool Friends

Hello friends,

I created the background today by using distress oxide inks on glossy paper.    I smooshed the ink onto the paper and let it dry.  You can't control what pattern it creates, but I think that is part of the beauty.    The polar bears are from Hero Arts (click here).  You can also see the set here

Copics used: C3, C1, C0 to add shadow on bears and snow.

Pink Ribbons

Welcome,

This post is a going up a little late.  October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.  Sadly, so many women are affected by cancer.  My grandma battled and won last year.  I think it is important to show support.

Thinking of You- Leaves

Hello all,

Another rainy day in NY.   It is better than snow.  I'll take it.

I'm really loving the leaf background by Concord and 9th.  I couldn't resist inking it up again.  I liked stamping on colored card stock. I usually stamp on white.      I made a video using this stamp on a fall card.  I hope you will check it out.  Click here to see video.

Mermaid and Flounder

Hello all,

I hope all the Dads out there had an wonderful Father's Day.   I spent the day with my Dad.  We had perfect weather at the lake.  We spent the entire day outside watching the little one splash in his kiddie pool.  It was such a perfect weather...no one wanted the weekend it end.

I have a mermaid by Unity to share today.    I cut her out and put her on one of my backgrounds in my stash.
