Greetings!
They say laughter is the best medicine. If that is true... then this card will help someone feel better!!!
My favorite feature of this card is that it stands upright when you open it.

You are the Greatest, No Lion
Welcome,
Thanks for stopping by today. I wanted to share this shaped card with you. I love making these for kids. They are just so fun and playful. I used a bunch of dies to cut all the parts to assemble the lion. I cut a circle in half to make the paws. I drew in the details on his paws and face.

My Baby Weed
Hello all,
I've been trying really hard not to bombard people with photos. Some people love babies...and other's rather avoid them. I couldn't resist posting these photos. They really do grow like weeds!
Just a few days old....
Month 1: Rubber Ducky
Month 2: Mom's Beach Bum
Month 3: Grandpa's little fishing buddy
Month 4: Daddy's Zumba crown
I'm so excited to see what the next months bring...

Birds, Balloons, and a Birthday
Greetings friends,
Today's card was inspired by my dogs. Our black lab sits on our porch patrolling the yard. She love to chase squirrels and brave birds that dare land in our yard.
I wanted to have a little critter holding this doggy balloon, but couldn't decide. I thought the bird should be in charge of this colorful trio. My favorite things about this card is the bright colors. It is so cheerful!

A Wonderful Marriage
Hello friends,
Stamping companies have flooded the market with dies. They keep getting prettier and prettier. I love finding new ways to use them. In this case are using two die cuts together... some would call it a perfect marriage (Ha Ha Ha... I know very funny).
I love the elegance of this card. If you knew the wedding colors you could customize this for the happy couple. I used grey card stock and sprayed it with glitter spray. I love the subtle shimmer. It is hard to see in photos but it is there.
I thought about adding pearls, but decided that less is more. What do you think?

Watercolor Poinsetta
Hello stampers,
I tried to resist... but I finally gave in and got on the watercolor bandwagon. I love my copics, but it is fun to try new things. I love the look you can get watercolors. What do you think?
I made two versions of this card. I love them both!
The photo here looks a little yellow... not sure why. The card is white in real life.

A Talk with the Moon
Greetings!
Thank you for joining me today. I have an unusual shaped card to share today. I used a die from Quickutz to cut the card base. I thought this image lent itself to a round card.
These two look like good friends and have shared many a conversations. On the inside I stamped the sentiment "I'm over the Moon for You".
Copics used:
Moon: Y18, Y15, Y13, Y11--glitter
Stars: Y15, YR12
Pink: RV11, RV52, RV63,
Hair: W9, W7, W5
Wings: B16, B14, B12, B00
Skin: E000, E00, E11
Sky: B39, B37, B34--I masked using masking fluid. I wish I used distress ink to sponge it over for a smoother look.

Birdy, Birdy in the Sky
Hi friends,
I wanted to share some of my practice cards with you. If you have ever taken a copic class from me... you have heard me say a million times..."Practice, Practice, Practice". No one wakes up one day and just knows how to play the piano. They learn little by little. Art is no different. Each project teaches you something and everyday you get better.
Here are some of my watercolor practices.... (scroll down to the bottom for the copic one). I may have gotten carried away.... What is your favorite color combination?
Here is the one I colored with Copics...
Copics used:
Grey: N9, N7, N5,
Brown: E71, E74,
Belly: E50, E51, E53
Feet: BV23, BV20
Branch: E13, E15, E17
Leaves: G00, G02, G05, G07
Berries: R43, R46
Background- Y15/Y13-- This can also be sponged with distress ink to get a similar look---or left white or with a soft blue background. I was just trying to get the same look as you get with watercolor. If you look closely you can see there are streaks in mine. I think I would just do a soft sky (B00, B000) if I colored this again.

God Give us Rainbows
Hey there!!
Monochromatic coloring has been a long time trend in copic coloring. It is a really neat look, but I think it needs to be done with purpose....or it just looks weird. I found a get well card on pinterest a while back using this technique and Tilda stamp. I thought it was really touching. Here is my take on the idea using a sentiment from Stampin Up.
I love that when the colored raindrops hit her...it splashes some color (a bit of hope) on her.
Copics-- all the Neutrals

Bird on a Wire
Greetings Card Buddies,
Check out this flock. They are busy getting ready for a party. My favorite is the bird carrying the two cupcakes. I'd follow him anywhere. The image is adorable... but what makes this card for me is the sentiment. We all have that friend that isn't a big fan of their birthday. I thought his was a nice way to acknowledge the day...without saying Happy Birthday.
Copics used:
Yellow: Y11, Y13, Y15, Y18, E13
Blue: B12, B14, B16
Brown: E11, E13, E15
Grey: C1, C3
dk. Brown: E55, E57, E59
cupcake wrapper: E50, E51, E53
Pink: R17, R14, R13
Green: YG03
Orange: YR12, YR14
Red: R29, R24, R14

Sunshine and Sailboats
Hello friends,
My Mom requested that we do another chalk card. She has been wonderful help with the baby....how could I resist? This time we used it to color a scene with a sailboat. I love how this turned out. Mom was right again! This is turning out to be one of my favorite cards this month.
