So Sweet

 Welcome,

Once of my favorite parts of summer is watermelon.   It is so refreshing on a hot day.   I created the background with a stencil from Taylored Expressions.  It came with a funny saying (see bottom photo), however, I couldn't resist inking up Watermelon Tilda.  Don't they look good together?

The Coolest

 Greetings!

It has been HOT HOT HOT here in NY.  We don't have air conditioning...so we have pretty much living in the lake or camped out in front of a fan.   It is hard not to dream about ice cream!

Since it is frowned upon to eat ice cream... for breakfast... lunch... and dinner.  I decided to ink up one of my favorites. I wonder if she would mind sharing?

Making Lemonade

When Life Gets Sour.... Sweeten it with Love (inside of card).   That is what Tilda says.   Well I did my best.  I have a bit of a "sour" experience coloring this card the first time.   When I was coloring Tilda's skin, my E13 marker spit a large blob on ink.  YUCK!  Well.... I refused to give up.  I decided to make lemonade so to speak.  I just darkened everything up and did my best to clean it all up.

I think it turned out okay... but I really wanted to give it another try.  Thankfully my second time around my markers behaved themselves.  I think it turned out much better, but both are acceptable.

I'd love to hear your stories.  How did you save the day from your blobs? What do you think? Was I successful.

Can you spot my marker blob?

Tulip Love Tilda

Hello all,

This is my last card in my "thinking of you series".  I'm planning on working on some spring birthday card's and scrapbook pages in the next week or so.   Are there any other scrapbookers out there?

This stamp is from the last Magnolia release.  It is called Tulip Love.  I was organizing my embossing folders and thought she paired perfectly with this old folder.  I placed the paper so the flowers are actually depressed rather than raised on the card.  I thought it gave an interesting texture.   I made a video a while back showing how I color my Tilda stamps.  You can check that our here if interested.

Power of Wine with Tilda-- Video

Hello again,

I'm back with another video tutorial.  I'm coloring up one of my favorite stamps.  I discovered Tilda about 10 years ago.  One of the reasons I loved these images is she is great for copic practice.  I know she is not everyone's favorite, but if you want to see how I made the card I have a video for you.

Here is the link to the video.  Be sure you are on youtube or the blog to watch.  It will not play in email.

Tilda Decks the Halls

Hello Crafty friends,

I hope your Christmas preparations are going well.  My classes for the year are winding down.   My mind is still trying to wrap my mind around the idea that 2019 is coming to an end.  Hopefully I can make peace with it in the next two weeks.

Today I have a sweet Tilda image to share. This wreath was a little tricky to color.  I didn't want it to look like a green blob.  I used two different shades of green to give it some depth.  What do you think?

Treemendous Tree

Hey, Hey, Hey!  Thanks for checking in.   I got some of my favorite stamps out today.   This Tilda stamp was released a few years back.  They did a whole series of her dressed as in Christmas costumes.    They are all cute, but my favorite is the Christmas Tree Tilda.

Warm and Cozy Tilda

Greetings,

It has been a long while since I'd dipped into my Tilda stamps.  I wanted to color this up last Christmas, but time got away from me.  I made sure it was the first image I inked up this year.  I made a set of three cards.  They all are a little different.  I think the "Sending you the Warm Thoughts" one is my favorite.  Does one grab you more than the others?

Watermelon Tilda

Welcome,

It has been a while since I've colored up Tilda stamps.  When I saw there new release, I had a quick favorite.    I didn't want to pair this with the traditional "One in a Melon" stamp.  I wanted something different.   What do you think?

Tilda in progress

Happy Friday Friends,

If you follow my blog...you know I colored a bunch of Tilda's over my July vacation.  I've been working on making them all into cards.   I'll be honest.  This is not my favorite of the bunch.  I feel like something is missing from the card.   I'll keep playing with it.  I've made a few versions of the card. I like the purple on the best.   I thought I'd see what you thought?

Summer Flower Tidla

Greetings friends,

It had been awhile since I had inked my my Tilda stamps up.  I felt like they needed a little love.  I took a handful of them with me while on vacation to color up.   It was very therapeutic. I couldn't wait to get them onto cards when I got home.

I liked this girl so much, I colored her in two different color schemes.  Which one do you like better?

Tilda's Thinking of you in Blue

Hello friends,

A while ago I made colored up a Tilda card and used warm colors for her clothes.  It was a stretch for me.  I always seem to gravitate towards blues and purples.   Well... I couldn't let it go.  I made another one in blues.   Which one do you like better?

Tilda's Thinking of You

Welcome,

It is time for a Tilda card.  I'm playing with an ombre ink pad from Hero Arts today.  I thought it would be fun to see how it worked for the sentiment.  I used the same colors to color Tilda's outfit.  I love how it turned out.   I excited to try this with a few other Tilda images.
