Thank you Tulip

Greetings,

This card was a happy accident.  I was playing with leftover ink from the Spray Bouquet card I made last week.   I wanted to see how dye ink behaved on glossy cardstock.  I usually reach for my alcohol inks when I use glossy cardstock.  This was a happy surprise.  I love the hints of green.

Monster Birthday

Hey friends,

I have something a little different today.   I needed some birthday cards for kids.  I thought this monster would be perfect and look good in a variety of different colors.  I love the yellow toenails on the pink monster.  I'm a little jealous, I can't pull off yellow. πŸ˜ƒ

Spray Bouquet

Hello friends,

This technique is really subtle.  I used ink pad reinkers to create my own ink pad.  If you look closely, you can see the flowers have multiple colors.  Even though it is subtle, I love the look.  I splattered  black ink to help pull the greeting into the card design.   I tried a few different types of sentiments, but I like the bold font of the Best Wishes card. What do you think?

Just Because

Howdy,

This little guy has stolen my heart.  He probably hid it in his garden.  πŸ˜€πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‰Gnomes generally creep me out, but they managed to this guy so cute..how can you not love him? I was tempted to use a white gel pen to add polka-dots to the yellow flowers to match the patterned paper.  I chickened out.  What do you think?

Beautiful, Amazing, Wonderful You

Hello Beautiful,
I have a fun mixed media type card to share today.  I'm still learning to embrace this style of card.  The variation of in the hearts drives me a little nuts... but it adds charm right?

You Got a Friend in Me

Welcome,

Just a quick post today.  Check out these cuties friends.  This image tugs at my heart.  We used to throw two sticks in the lake for our two puppies to fetch.  They used to both grab the same stick and swim it in together.  As our dogs have matured, they don't share sticks anymore.  They are still best of friends.

Fin-tastic Birthday

Hello friends,

I'm sorry I've fallen a little behind on the blog.  It has been raining...and raining...and raining.  It is really hard for me to take photos of cards when it is so gray outside.  Someday I'll figure out a better lighting system so Mother Nature can't rain on our card parade.

I love this card it.  I had no idea where this card was going when it started, but slowly it evolved.  I love the texture of the wave background die.   I only removed some of the wave pieces just to give it more interest.  The whale and sentiment can be found here.   This set has some wonderful sentiments.  I think I'd like to make a few more of these with the little squirt sentiment.

As always I'd love to hear your thoughts.  Please leave me a comment.
