Holiday Spirit
Hello friends,
I have a little to share with you today. TJ has the best snarky stamps. This one is perfect for those non-traditional Christmas cards. I stamped the sentiment in Avocado ink to match the wine bottle. To incorporate a pop of red I matted the front panel on a muted red card base. I accented the card with wine bottle and glass die cuts. I used vellum to make the glass. On the inside I put a glass with wine in it...so show they did get in the Holiday Spirit!. I hope you get a chuckle out of this.

Wine Surprise with Video
Hello,
I'm in love with this month's release. This is one of my favorite stamps. I cut it apart to add to its versatility. Check out the video to see how I hid a gift card in the design. This is a design that can easily modified to fit your favorite stamp! You can watch video hereYou could use copic R56 to color wine.

Calories vs. Wine (with video)
Greetings,
I love cards that make people smile. This card has a simple elegance that just adds to the humor of it all. The inside says..."wait no I don't". I hope it gives you a chuckle.

Blitzen
Welcome,
I picked up this stack of reindeer a last Christmas. They look like they are having a blast. These guys were a little bit of a challenge to color. Originally, I wanted each deer to stand out. I debated using different sets of browns to color each. However, I started with the E30 series and kept working with it. I liked where this was going, so I kept with the series. I made some a little lighter than others. I feel like doing it this way made them feel more like a cohesive unit. Did I make the right choice?
The sentiment is from Crackerbox stamps. I thought was another perfect Christmas covid stamp. We all might need a little help to get through this holiday. 😁😀

Power of Wine with Tilda-- Video
I'm back with another video tutorial. I'm coloring up one of my favorite stamps. I discovered Tilda about 10 years ago. One of the reasons I loved these images is she is great for copic practice. I know she is not everyone's favorite, but if you want to see how I made the card I have a video for you.
Here is the link to the video. Be sure you are on youtube or the blog to watch. It will not play in email.

Improve with Wine
Today is the last day of my wine tour. If you been following along, you know that I've been focusing on wine themed cards this week. I'm really glad someone pointed out that I was missing some wine cards. These stamps have been neglected for far too long. I might make some more wine cards in the new year. We will see what Santa brings me!
I had a lot of fun focusing on a theme for a week. Did you like having a theme on the blog? I'd love suggestions for another focus week.

You're a Fine Wine
Welcome to Day 3 of wine tour. I'm inking my way through the wine stamps this week. I struggled with this card a little. This card is a little snarky. You would have to know the person pretty well to send them this card. I ended up keeping the design really simple to keep the focus on the humor of the card.

Christmas Wine
During the holiday season, I do several craft shows. I have a lot of interesting conversations with people during these events. This year a woman pointed out that I don't have any wine themed cards. You don't have to ask me twice. I spent some time inking up my wine stamps. I'll be sharing the cards all week.
This one has a touch of humor... gotta love it!
