Celebrating 5 years of Love
Hello all,
What a special week! I've been dying to post photos for days, but we have been flooded with visits from family and friends and it has been hard to find a few free moments.
Our son, Ryan Thomas was on April 16th. It was a long, hard labor. I was in labor for 49.5 hours. I was in Active labor for 33.5 hours. We had a lot of bumps in the road. I was exhausted, his heart rate kept dropping, and my blood pressure was all over the place. It ended at 11:25pm with a c-section. He was wedged against my pelvis. I wasn't excited by the idea of having a c-section, but was so glad that we could put an end to the process. We spent 3 days in the hospital.
We are all doing great! I've attached a few photos of him. He arrived just in time to celebrate our 5 year anniversary with us. I wanted to do something special, so I took this photo of his little feet with our wedding rings. I love that they make a heart shape.
Thank you all for the wonderful support over the last few months. Ryan is looking forward to meeting you all.
Hugs,
Chris

Thinking of Flowers
Hello,
Can you tell I'm ready for some colorful blossoms? Here is my second flower card for this week. I wanted to try something a little different. I went for an unblended look on the petals. I was inspired by some artists on pintrest. They were coloring flowers this way, but they were using colored pencils. I wondered if I could get a similar look using copics.
Copics used: I actually took a photo of them. I hope this helps.

Thoughts of Flowers
Hello,
Today is the first in a series of prewritten posts on the blog. I decided to make a some cards to share with you while I'm busy taking care of the baby. Hopefully you will enjoy these as much as I enjoyed making them. I'll try to update these posts as my due date approaches.
This is one of my favorites in the April cards. The flower has such a softness to it.
Copics used:
Pink: R24, R22, R20
Green: YG17, YG13, YG11
