The Reason for the Season

Christmas is in a few days.  It is easy to forget why we celebrate Christmas with all the craziness that comes with the season.  I thought this would be a good time to take pause and refocus.

Braided Tree

Hi guys!

I had seen a few others posting cards about paper braiding.  I thought I'd give it a try.  Once you cut the slits with an exacto knife it it really easy.  I ran the paper through an embossing folder.  The tree one is my favorite, but they are both neat.  I hope you give this a try.  You can find the pattern on pinterest.

Beautiful Snowflake

Hi everyone!

I was on the fence about coloring her dress blue or red.  I needed a few more Christmas cards, so I went with red.  What do you think?  Would this be a winter card if her dress was blue?  I guess the hat always confuses me a bit.  We associate it with Santa, but do we wear those outside of Christmas?

Tilda Decks the Halls

Hello Crafty friends, 

I hope your Christmas preparations are going well.  My classes for the year are winding down.   My mind is still trying to wrap my mind around the idea that 2019 is coming to an end.  Hopefully I can make peace with it in the next two weeks. 

Today I have a sweet Tilda image to share. This wreath was a little tricky to color.  I didn't want it to look like a green blob.  I used two different shades of green to give it some depth.  What do you think?

Fleece Navidad

Greetings,

It is fun to dig out an older stamp set and put it to use.   I like how this card turned out the sheep is adorable.  However, I had to use a black pen to connect all the elements.  I wish I hadn't put a twist in the yarn after the work "navidad".  I think it looks a little like an "e".  Oh well live and learn.   Learn from my mistake.

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree

How many of you have a naughty kitty?  This fuzz ball is excited to see those ornaments on the tree.  On the inside of the card it says "your ornaments are history".   We don't have a cat, but our toddler is a good substitute.   I'm wondering who will win this year.    Battle is on  toddler vs  tree.

Treemendous Tree

Hey, Hey, Hey!  Thanks for checking in.   I got some of my favorite stamps out today.   This Tilda stamp was released a few years back.  They did a whole series of her dressed as in Christmas costumes.    They are all cute, but my favorite is the Christmas Tree Tilda.

Keep on Truckin' Shaker Card

Welcome friends,

The old vintage truck has become a Christmas classic.    I made this really cute and simple card with a die set from Queen and Co.  The glitter shakes around inside the truck bed.   Love the classic look.
