Today is a Gift...That is why they call it a Present

Hello all!

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  We had a nice visit with family (there are a few photos at the bottom of the baby).  He finally figured out how to crawl the Friday before Thanksgiving.   I was thankful for all the extra hands.  He was determined to get into everything...including going for a swim in the dog's water dish!

Today's card features another laying stamp.  It took me a long time to figure out what colors to use to get the bows to look right.  I love that this can be used for Christmas and also birthday cards.  What a cool idea!

Simple Things

Happy Wednesday,

Today's card is a remake of a card I made years and years ago.  I've been playing around with a new copic technique.  I'll share more of that with you at a later date.  I want to keep practicing first.   I tried to implement it here...and failed.  I still liked the end result so I made into a card.  The reflection in the water makes me smile!

Turkey Time

Happy Thanksgiving!

Are you busy making plans for the holiday?  I'm so blessed not to have to cook a giant meal.  First... I'm sure it wouldn't be edible.   Cooking is not something I should be allowed to do.   Connor, Ryan and I will be spending the day with my Mom.   She on the other hand needs her own show on the food network.   Do you have any fun Thanksgiving traditions?

Sleigh Ride

Hello friends,

This is one of the cards we made at in the last Card Lover's class.  It was one of my favorites.   I like making non-traditional Christmas cards.   The browns and golds give this card a vintage feel.   There is a hint of glitter on the card.  I wish it showed up in the photos.

Classic Christmas

Greetings!

I love the classic look of Black, Red and white.  It just never gets old.  I wanted to create a snow scene just using those colors.   I had to hunt through a lot of stamp sets to find trees and scene elements to find something that worked together.  It was worth the trouble.  I like how this turned out!

I added a bit of glitter on the snow banks.  I hope you enjoy!
Chris

Oh My Goodness!

Howdy Stampers,

I love simple cards.  This girl was so cute, that could easily be the focal point of this card.   I love, love, love the curls.   I wasn't as happy with how I colored her skin.  I was trying something new.  I'm chalking it up as learning experience.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Too Cute to Spook-- Halloween photos

Hello friends,

No card to share today...  I just wanted to post a few photos before going to bed tonight.  I love Halloween and I didn't want it to pass without some memorable photos.

We had a short photo shoot on Sunday, but he wasn't a happy Dragon.  This morning we got up early to try again.  He was so cooperative.  I was able to get him in a few different outfits.

This might be my favorite photo
 Scary Dragon Face
I found this cute (and cheap) bat cape on Ebay.  I couldn't resist.  He will only be this small once. Who can resist a baby bat?

I hope you had a safe and Happy Halloween.  Thanks for celebrating with us!
