Tilda's Heart ---No Line

Welcome friends,

This is my favorite of the no line cards.  I just think she is the perfect image for this technique.  I love the soft look it gives her.  It adds a certain sweetness.  What do you think? Do you have any favorite from the week?   You can see me color her on the No Line DVD class.

Elephant Bubbles-- No Line

Greetings!

Welcome to Day 4 of my 6 day No Line marathon (It is way easier than a real marathon!).

This next card was really hard to photograph because the bubble are so soft.  I had a lot of requests on how to do them at the Akron convention    I included them in the DVD class.  Check that out here.

Copics used:

Elephant: C5, C3, C1, C0, R00
Bubbles: RV000, B000, BV000, YR000, R000, Y000, Blender
Grass: G46, G43, G40
black multi-liner
White Gel pen

I scanned the card hoping that it did it more justice than photos, but it washed out the bubbles a little.

Party Animal-- No Line

Hello again!

Welcome to Day 3 of Coloring without borders (aka No Line Coloring).   The first two days I shared some flowers... but now I wanted to move onto animals.  I happen to pick two elephants.  They are a great to practice this technique with because the greys are fairly easy to blend.   Check out this cutie.  He is celebrating that we are half-way through the week!!

Roses- No Line

Welcome back!

This week we are celebrating a week free of lines!   For my second card I chose another flower, but the sections are a little more complicated.  I also chose a family group that is a little more difficult to blend.   I think this rose would great in reds or pinks too!

Poppies-- with and without lines

Hello all,

I have a whole week planned of No Line coloring.  I've fallen in love with the technique.  I love the soft look of the finished images.   If you are new to this... don't get discouraged if you first few attempts don't go as you hoped.  It takes some practice.  If you want some tips check out my new
No Line DVD class.

I'm starting with the easiest of the cards....  I counted this as easy because there is no hair in this card!  The shapes are also pretty easy, so you can focus on the technique, rather than complicated flicks.

Copics used:
Red: R59, R39, R29, R24, R14, R05, R02-- You don't need to use all of these.  You could simply this to R39, R29, R24
Green: YG63, YG67

I also colored this one with lines so you can see the difference.  The photos above have a much softer look than the ones below.  They are both great... just different.

Hello all,

I'm so happy to announce that I finished another Copic tutorial.    This DVD covers No Line Coloring.  I think this is a funny name because we need lines to color the image.  It is more a process of hiding the lines in our coloring.

You can see my other DVD classes here.

This tutorial covers these techniques:
How to stamp images to achieve no the no line look

Worth the Tassel

Hello,

Tis the season for graduation parties.   My cousin is graduating from High School this year.  I'm so proud of her.  She is off to college in the fall.   We are all very proud of her.  She will do great things.

I colored this last year.  I ran out of time and never made it into a finished card. I made the boy version last year (click here).  I changed up a few details, but I copied the same design idea to make the girl version this year.   I love the heart border.

Congrats to all the 2017 Graduates!

Meow

Hello friends,

I have another kitty card today.  I think my dogs might go on strike!  There are just so many cute kitty stamps/dies being released right now.   I had a request from my students to make a card using felt.   This card was a lot of fun, but it was also a challenge.  We had a hard time finding glue that would hold the felt.   We will just have to play around until we find something that works.

No copics today--- I used a dye based marker to add color to nose and ears.  I could have used a copic too.

Oceans of Love

Welcome,

I can't take full credit for today's card.  I CASED it off of the manufacturer's webpage.  I liked the layered feel of this card.  It felt like she was in the ocean to me.  I did made some small changes.  I added the turtle.  He was too cute not to include him.

You Rock

Hello friends,

About two months ago, I was asked to make some cards and dry erase boards to give to gifts on Administrator Appreciation day.   They wanted a "You Rock" theme.    I had a lot of fun with the challenge.  Here is some photos of the cards.

I hope everyone enjoyed their cards.

Days that end in "Y".

Hello friends,

We all know a chocoholic.  I'm related to one.  My grandmother puts chocolate on her chocolate. Then somehow can mix in more chocolate.  She would say the more chocolate the better.  This card is dedicated to her.

Just for the record...I like chocolate.... according to the bathroom scale...sometimes I like it too much.

Kitty Friend

Hello again,

I think my two puppies are getting jealous.  I've been making a lot of cat cards lately.   I'm going to have to balance this out over the next few months.  I just think there are a lot of cute kitty stamps out there!   Check out this cutie.    This cat was quick and easy to color.  I hope I captured the marking coloring right.  I tried a few color combinations to get the coloring right.
