Warm and Cozy

Hello friends!

I'm excited to share this card with you today.  I've been on such a House Mouse kick lately. The images are just so detailed and fun.  I made this card into a tent card.  It is a really easy technique and adds so much to the finished card.

This image is really detailed.  There are a lot of shadows, but it was worth the time to color.  I'm thinking about making a few of these as Christmas cards.  I think it would look great in red.  What do you think?

Sending...

Hello friends!

My family and I decided to sneak one more weekend in at the lake.  It was extra special because my Grandma (Ryan's Great Grandma) was able to join us.  It was nice to have four generations all under one roof for a few days.

The crisp air and the changing leaves must be getting to me.  I took one look at my craft room when I got home and decided to rearrange it.  So far... I love the change.   I also like that it is forcing me to clean.  Connor's parents are coming to visit this weekend...so I have a deadline looming to finish this project.  It should be easy... with a 5 month old to help.  YIKES!!

I promise I have more copic cards to share... but I wanted to get this simple one posted.

Golden Thanks

Hello all,

Fall is here... I'm not looking forward to raking all the leaves... but it is hard not to be impressed with all the wonderful colors.

 No copics today... all watercolor.

Fishy Friends

Hello all,

Sorry for the lack of posts last week.  I got that nasty cold that was going around.  It just knocked me on my butt.  I'm back at it this week.  I colored this card in both watercolor and copics.   I like the copic one better.   What do you think?

Here is the watercolor one...
I like the softer water in this one, but the fish is not as impressive.

Here is the copic one:  The colors are more vibrant.   I love the translucent look on the tail.

Copics used:

Mouse Skin: E000, E00, E93
Mouse Fur: E30, E31, E33, BV23

Sea Weed: YG03, YG06, YG17, YG67
Fish: Y17, YR12, YR14, YR16,

I embossed the fish bowl on both cards to make it look shiny.   I haven't done this in a while. I love the finished look.

Heard you were Dragon.

Hello all!

I apologize for being a bit behind in my blogging.  It is fitting that I have this card to share with you today.  There is a nasty virus going around and it spent Labor day weekend with us.  I was knocked on my butt.  I spent with all day in bed Sat, Sun, and Monday.   I've never been so congested in my life.   We tried to keep the baby clear of it... unfortunately it was only a matter of time.   Connor (my hubby) did an amazing job taking care of everyone.   The good news is the baby is already bouncing back.   I'm still Dragon!

I love how this card turned out.  I had no idea where I was going when I started this project.  I love the green background behind the dragon, but I had a REALLY hard time finding paper to match.  I finally found a piece in a stash I've had sitting around for 10 years.  This of course....just justified... my paper hoarding problem.

I'm off to bed.  I hope you all had a great holiday weekend.  I'm so sad that I missed out on all my family's festivities.  Hopefully the weather will hold out and we can squeak in more lake time.

Little Things

Hi friends!

I love this new layered trend in stamping.  Stampin up released this Hummingbird set that has three stamps.  You stamp each layer in a different colors of ink.  When combined they give a more realistic look.
