Cross my Heart

Greetings,

Taylored Expressions included this cross in their Spring 2022 release.  I love the simplicity of the cross.  I hope that I can use it all year long for Baptism and other occasions.   Today I paired it with Easter sentiment strips.   I put a heart in the center, but I think when I make more of these, I'll leave that off.  I think it covered up too much of the beautiful cross.

Eggs in a Basket

Welcome,

I'm having fun rediscovering watercolor pencils.  They go so well with CCC stamps.  I created a mask for the bunnies and used a Blender brush to add the soft blue sky.  I love how these brushes let you apply a light about of color without brush marks on the paper.  I will be doing this much more often on future cards.  I hope you will give it a try.

Materials:

Watercolor Pencils-- really loving these
Double stitch Border- ( Amazon or Scrapbook.com)
Versafine Black (Amazon or Scrapbook.com)
Tumbled glass ink for the sky
Blending brush for sky --- love these!!

No copics today.  I used watercolor pencils instead.  LOVE THEM.

Fields of Tulips

 Hello,

Spring has sprung!  I pulled my flip flops out this week and was able to wear the without freezing.  YEA!!  I put away my winter stamps and pulled Easter and spring things this week.  I bought these layering dies from Birch Press Designs last fall.   They are a lot of fun to use.  Once I started I couldn't stop.  I had to try them in every color.  I would love to know which one is your favorite.  I was tied between the yellow and blue (for Ukraine) and the pink foil with green combo.

Materials:
Tulip Die from Birch Press Design
Just Because die-  Simon Says Stamp
Hope Die - unknown
Mama Die- unknown
Glitter paper- this is an affordable way to get lots of colors

Mystical Love

Happy Friday friends!

My favorite part of this card is the "Love You" die.   The designers at Avery elle made magic when they created this. I love the font and the heart accents.   It is by far one of my new favorite dies in my stash.   I adapted the idea from the Avery Elle blog and put the new dragon stamp behind the E in Love.    I think it made it a really sweet card.

Materials:

Copics used:

Cream: E53, E51, E50  -- many people in class made the dragon green YG11, YG13, YG17

Heart: R29, R24, R22 covered in wink of stella and glossy accents

Embossed Friend

 Greetings,

I love rediscovering techniques.  Today we inked up the embossing folder to create more dimensional look on this card.  It really helped these roses pop.   I love this friend die.  It is the perfect size for this card.  I was also able to tuck the sentiment strip behind the bottom part of the "Friend".

Materials list:

Embossing folder -unknown

Sentiment Strips- Taylored Expressions

Lucky Leprechaun

 Happy St. Patrick's Day,

My hubby helped me put together this little leprechaun. I had the idea, but he helped me figure out all the measurements.   His face lifts up to reveal your personal message.  I'm so glad he supports my crazy ideas!

I hope you all have a Happy St. Patrick's Day.

Hugs,
Chris

Four Leaf Clover

Top of the Mornin' to ya!

I often forget about using negative space.  We usually use the die cut, rather than the surrounding paper on cards.    I really like how the pretty St. Patrick's Day paper shows through the shamrock.   I raised the panel up on dimensional foam to add a little more interest.   Definitely one of my favorite St. Patty Day cards!
