Ornaments vs Bells

Happy Christmas Eve,

I love working with Copics, but sometimes the simple cards make more impact.   If you follow the chit chat in the stamping world... jingle bells are popular.  Who doesn't love jingle bells?  I dug out my inks and started playing.  I found a combination that sort of worked.   I gave everyone in class the option of choosing the bell or an ornament.  All but one person chose the ornament.  I will admit... I liked it better too!
Which one do you like better?

Silhouette Christmas

Howdy,

I love silhouettes.  They are so simple and elegant.  They can be a bit challenging to do in stamping. Solid stamps often do not leave a even image behind.  Thankfully with the help of a stamp positioner we mastered the look.

Again--forgive the yellow tint to the photos.  Hopefully the weather will break and we can return to the great outdoors.

Winter Village Secret Slider

Hello all,

It is hard to deny that Christmas is around the corner.   Everywhere you go there is music, lights and last minute shoppers.  I'm so glad to be done shopping!

I've really enjoying making slider cards.  I thought I'd try to make one where the sliding mechanism was hidden.  It was a bit tedious but it worked.

Gift Card Holder

Merry Christmas!!

I have a cool card to share today.   We don't send a lot gift cards, but I'm always being asked at craft shows about cards that have special spots for gift cards.  I started searching the internet for some ideas...and stumbled across this one.     I think it is really clever... but you would have to tell the person where the gift card is hidden.

When you untie the bow on the front... the gift card slides out of the slot.

Again--sorry for the yellow tint.  Stupid Snow. :(

Penguin Christmas

Hello all,

We are just getting settled into Connor's parents house.   It was interesting car trip with an 8 month old.  He did pretty well.  He started to get really antsy the last hour.  I had to come up with game after game to entertain and distract that little mind.

Here is one of the cards we made at the December Card Lover's class.  Love this cutie.  He looks like he is embracing the cold weather.  I on the other hand...am glad to hide indoors.

The Brave

Welcome!

I'm taking a break from Christmas cards today.  I was asked by the girl scouts to do a class.  They wanted to do a patriotic card to send them the military.  It was really nice to be part of their service project.  They did a great job!

Christmas Lights

Welcome friends,

I have a die cutting card to share today.  I love how simple these cards are to make.   At Christmas time, this is an extra bonus!!  I used some glitter spray on the ornaments to give them some shine.  I love that it is subtle.

As promised more from our 7 months photo shoot--- I love his expressions!

So Sorry---pet sympathy

Howdy,

I did my last craft show of 2016 yesterday.   It is always bittersweet.  I love chatting with people about stamping.   It is also nice to sell all the extra cards I made throughout the year.  However,  it will be nice to have some of my weekends back!

One of the things I like about chatting with people about card making is I get ideas.  This year I was asked if I had any Pet Sympathy cards for sale.   Honestly,  I don't think I've ever made a Pet Sympathy card before.  It just never made the priority list.   I plan to make a cat version in the next few months.  I hope I never need them... but if I do it will be nice to have them in my card box.

Deck the Halls

Greetings,

I set today aside to celebrate another card that has waited far too long for its day on the blog.  I colored this at least 2 years ago...but it has just been sitting.  It is one of my favorite Tilda images.  This card reminds me how much I love Tilda.  I haven't colored her in awhile.  I think it is time to dig some of these images out!!

Tangled in Joy

Hello friends,

I love this little cutie.  I can't decide if she is happy or shocked that she is tangled in the lights.
What do you think?
