Sweet Holiday Season
Hello friends,
You know I couldn't let the holiday season go by without coloring up a House Mouse card. It is FREEZING cold here in NY. This guy has the right idea. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.

Lemon Jokester
Hello!
Lemons seem to be really popular lately. I will never understand why things go in and out of style.. but I couldn't help but jump on the bandwagon and color this guy up. I made two versions of this card. They are just so so so cute! Which one do you like better?
I made a video of how to color this card. Click here to watch

Berry Best Strawberries- with video tutorial
Hello friends,
I love that summer just around the corner I'm looking forward to fresh strawberries (hopefully without the mouse)!
If you take my copic classes, you know we have been working on mastering RED. It can be very difficult to get a good blend. This card was great practice because we would adjust our blends on each strawberry to make them look a little different, but still part of a group.
You can watch here to see the process that I follow.
Materials and copics are linked below.

Relax a Little
Hello,
Yesterday was the presidential election. I'm a night owl, but I was up late even for me hoping for a result. As you know... they are still counting ballots. I just pray they find a peaceful outcome. Anyway, I thought we could use a little reminder during these stressful times to RELAX.
This mouse has nailed it. I didn't put words on my card. I thought it could be used for retirement, thinking of you or encouragement. I can add those when I'm ready to send it.
The theme at House Mouse challenge blog this week is favorite color. I love green and purple. I couldn't choose between the two so I used them both. I hope you will stop by and check all the wonderful house mouse cards posted this month.

Simple Things
Hello friends,
This is one of my favorite house mouse stamps. Do I say that every time? I love house mouse. I made a card like this about 10 years ago. I found it as I was rummaging through some stamping stuff. I've grown so much in my coloring skills, I really wanted to remake the card. Ah... I'm so glad I did. I'm smitten. He is just so stinkin' adorable! I might also be a bit jealous. Floating on a leaf.. sounds relaxing. Where do I sign up?

Sprinkles Please (House Mouse)
House mouse stamps were some of my first stamps when I started stamping. They are still among my favorites. I had a request for birthday cards and this guy wandered onto my desk. He clearly thinks there is a sprinkle shortage on his cupcake.
Materials:
House Mouse Stamp
Copic Storage box
In the video I will show you how I use copics to color fur and glass. We will also add dimension to the cupcake wrapper. I also used a glaze pen to give the sprinkles a more realistic look.
If you are reading this in your email the video will not play click here or go to the blog to watch.

A Conversation with my Heart
I know Valentine's day was yesterday, but I wanted to be sure that the recipient got the card before I posted it online. I hope you had a wonderful Valentine's Day. Ryan had a party at school. He was so proud to show me all of his valentines he received from his friends. It is such a cute age.
My favorite part of Valentine's day is conversation hearts. Yep. I'm the weirdo that hopes that I can buy a bunch at the 50% off Valentine's day sale. This year... after going to two stores I found zero bags of conversation hearts. I was shocked. The stores must be getting better at estimating how many bags of carry or... some other weirdo beat me to them. Next year, I might have to buy a bag before they disappear.
I think this little guy and I have a lot in common. However, he is much more talented. I could only balance one on my nose. 😂
There is another great challenge going on at the house mouse blog. I hope you will swing by and check out the beautiful cards the design team made.

Wrapped in Holly--House Mouse
I saw a few other people coloring up this image. I'm not sure what the name of it is. It is a really old House Mouse stamp. I've had it years and I had never inked it up. I felt inspired by everyone else and I thought I'd share my take on it. I tried something new with the holly. I added some some blue into the leaves to give it the holly a more realistic look. What do you think?
I'm entering this into the house mouse challenge. If you haven't you should pop on over and see the cards from the other talented ladies: http://housemouse-challenge.blogspot.com/

Life is Sweet
House Mouse is hosting a challenge this week. The theme is to make a card using a House Mouse stamp and a die. I thought it would be fun to use the a border die upside down from the intended way to create an arc. The sentiment fit perfectly inside.
Thank you for popping over for a look. I hope you will join the challenge if you have some time this week.

Hey Sweet Pea!
There is a new card challenge on the House Mouse blog this week. I used Pea Pod Nap to create this sweet card. I had a hard time deciding what greens to use to color the pea pod. In the end I picked colors that match the decorative paper. It pairs perfectly with this sentiment from Hero Arts (retired). If you like snarky cards, I made an alternate version and posted it below.
