Heart Day

Hello friends,

I hope you are staying warm.  The snow has started coming down and the temperatures are dropping. I'm so glad I'm home and in my craft room.

I used a stencil to create the heart background.  It had a lot of fun doing it.  I'm not sure why I don't do it more often.  I might have found a new addiction.  YIKES!  Do you have a  favorite stencil?  I'd love to hear about it.

I used this stamp to create this card: click here

Million Magic Wishes

Happy Monday,

I'm still using up some of the backgrounds I made.  I love the way the silhouette stamps look on the these distress ink backgrounds.   I can see this being addicting.

Cool Friends

Hello friends,

I created the background today by using distress oxide inks on glossy paper.    I smooshed the ink onto the paper and let it dry.  You can't control what pattern it creates, but I think that is part of the beauty.    The polar bears are from Hero Arts (click here).  You can also see the set here

Copics used: C3, C1, C0 to add shadow on bears and snow.

Furr-Friend Faux Letterpress

Greetings,

I can't take full credit for this idea.  I saw the J. McGuire do this in one of her videos.  I used the die cuts to stamp and deboss the paper.   It is simple, but stunning.  I wanted to give it a try.  I used Spellbinders dog dies to create this card.   I'm glad to have this technique in my bag of tricks.

No copics today.

I finished it off with glossy accents.

I'd Be Toast without you

Hello friends,

I wanted to play with Lawn Fawn's new Let's Toast set.  You can find it here.  It also comes with dies and an interactive die set.   I had so much fun creating with this set.   Lawn Fawn worked their magic.  It made building the interactive mechanism for this card so easy.    There are a lot of cute saying in the set, so I know I will be using it a lot.

The inside of card says "I'd be Toast without You".

On the Fence...

Hello friends,

I have another scene to share with you today.    This time I picked a location closer to home.   I think the bird with scarf might be a penguin.  I'm not 100% sure.  I colored him brown and stuck him on the fence.  Maybe he is vacationing here?

Frosty Friend

Hello,

Check out this cutie.  I think he is perched on the lamp post to soak up whatever heat that can be found on this frosty night.

Stay warm friends,
Chris

As the Snow Falls

Greetings,

I love snowflakes.  I also love layering dies.  They were a perfect for these cards.  I was able to make two cards from the birch press die.  I used the outer layer for the first one. I used a series of blue and purple cardstocks.  The snowflakes are from Stampin Up.

I used the inner rings for the second card.  The card base is a soft grey.  I stamped a snowflake background from Gina K.   The inside stamp is from Unity.    These cards are fairly simple to make, but it took some time to glue all the die layers together.   I hope you enjoyed these cards.
