Shadow Boxing with Sharks

Hello,

Shadow box cards are really popular lately.   I couldn't resist giving it a try.  I have to stay this is one my favorite styles of card.  I think I might have to brainstorm some new ideas on how to use it.

Cool Crab

Hello Stamping friends,

I love the simplicity of this card.  It was pretty easy and fun to create.  The crab in glasses makes me smile.  Who thinks of this stuff?

Tilda's Thinking of you in Blue

Hello friends,

A while ago I made colored up a Tilda card and used warm colors for her clothes.  It was a stretch for me.  I always seem to gravitate towards blues and purples.   Well... I couldn't let it go.  I made another one in blues.   Which one do you like better?

Kaleidoscope of Color

Happy Friday all!

This has been a busy week.   I was prepping for several classes for next week.  I'm so excited to see both the Ithaca group and the Brockport Group next week.   We are going to be playing some stamps to make a Kaleidoscope card.    At first, I wasn't a sure if I liked this look or not, but it has grown on me.

Each and every card that we have made in class has been different.  It has shown me that this has possibilities.  I think I need to play with it some more and see what I can come up with.  Here is my first attempt.

Relaxing Retirement

Welcome Friends,

Yikes!  It has been hot here in New York.   That is something we don't get to say here very often.  I'm loving the heat.    I know many are starting to wish for cool fall days, but not me.  I love it!   When I saw there was a Hot Summer Days challenge at House mouse  I couldn't wait to join in.

MaMa, Mama, Mama, Mama, Mama

  Welcome friends,

I'm sure many of us can relate to this Mama bird.  As a mom you wait patiently for little one to first say Mama.  However in just a blink it seems you hear that word every minute.  This Mama bird looks like she may have heard "Mama"  a few times that day.  Sending LOVE to all you Moms out there!

Sending Hugs

Greetings,

We have been having a lot of fun with layering dies in class.  They create such fun and elegant cards.  It was requested that we make one in shades of purple.   It took me a bit to find shades that worked well together, but it was worth the work.

I made two versions of this card.  I couldn't decide which one I liked better.  What do you think?

Sending Butterflies

Welcome!

I hope you had a wonderful 4th of July with family and friends.   We spent the day at the lake.  My favorite was watching the fireworks over the water.  It is a small show, but there is something so special in it.

I have a unique card to share with you today.  I can't take full credit.  I stumbled across this idea of making a pop up card by using a symmetrical stamp.   What a clever idea!  I die cut several butterflies and glued them together to create the pop up.

I had so much fun doing this., that I need to search my stamps for another image that will work!

Land That I Love

Happy Monday,

Check out this Eagle stamp from Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.   It is a beautiful image.  I modified it a little so that the bird holds a flag instead of a fish.     Happy 4th of July!
