Copic Boot Camp

Hello Stampers!

I was asked to design a Copic "Boot Camp" class.   I was making preparations and brainstorming ideas for samples.  I was inspired to ink up an image that has long been begging for color.   I love how it turned out!   What do you think?  More information about classes will be posted soon.

Many Hugs,
Chris

Important Ingredients

Connor and I wanted to try a new class at the gym last night.  It was called Zumba Toning.  We love traditional Zumba and thought this could be a fun deviation from our normal workout.  It was a great class.    When I woke up this morning... everything hurts.   My toothbrush felt like a ten pound weight this morning.   It is hard not to laugh at myself as I limp through the day.   I'm excited to go back to class next week, clearly these muscles need some work.

Todays's card is made with "Oops Tilda" by Magnolia.  The stamp paired well with the sentiment.

Winter Friends

This Snowman has been waiting patiently for his turn to be blogged.  We made him as part of the February's Card Lover's Class  We added the texture to his scarf and heart with an Argyle embossing folder.   We also sponged some pink ink on his cheeks to make his blush.

I hope you enjoy!
Hugs,
Chris

A Surprise!

Hello!

Another weekend has gone by in a blink of an eye.  I spent more of yesterday with three talented artists in my Dansville Copic Workshop.  They did a great job.  I gave them a tough challenge, but they did a great job with it!

I didn't get a chance to tell you about Valentine's Day.  I woke up and started to follow my normal routine.  When I opened my laptop to check email, I found a card tucked inside.  I was so surprised.  Connor made me a Valentine's Day card.   He did a great job!

You Are My Human

You can just see it in her face.  Total Happiness!  Widget has found a nice warm place to spend the evening.   The handsome hunk in the photo is my Hubby.   I'm not sure who is cuter!

Cupid Draw Back Your Bow

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

I hope you able to sneak a moment to celebrate that special someone in your life.  I'm not sure what Connor and I have planned for this evening.  It doesn't matter, I'm just thankful that I'm able to spend the day with him.

Here is my last Valentine's Day card of 2013.   I used Cupid Tilda.  This stamp is from an earlier release, but it is one of my favorites!

I'm not a huge fan of chalk (it is a texture thing).  It is not a technique I bust out very often.   It was perfect for this heart.  I wanted a soft, subtle look to the heart.

After finishing the coloring and chalking, I laminated the front image so it could be used as a bookmark.  the corner punches hold the main image in without using tape.  This is why the picture is a little shiny.
Copics used:
Grey: W7, W5, W3, W1

So Sweet...It Makes My Teeth Hurt

This card is SO SWEET it MAKES MY TEETH HURT!

Connor and I will be married for two years this April.  Everyday, I'm so thankful for him.  He makes each day better.  I saw this stamp, and my first thought is.. I want this to be us someday.  I have been surprised by this card.  Everyone who has seen it seems to have some connection to the image.  I hope it speaks to you too...

If Raindrops were Kisses

  Hello All,

I just got home for a double header of classes.  It is a long day, but I love seeing all my stamping friends.   I wanted to dedicate this card to Donna.  Donna woke up on Wednesday and couldn't see!  She is currently still in the hospital.  All we know is there is an issue with her retinas.  Do you remember the days when a kiss was all it took to make it feel better?  In hopes that still works, we are sending Donna a storm.
I love the sentiment of this card.  Could it be any sweeter?  I think I'm going to pair this with Tilda with the umbrella.  It will make a great spring card.

I finished the umbrella off with some glitter on the lace.

Lots of Love

I love this Tilda stamp.  It was a special release to stamp from Magnolia.  The proceeds of each stamp sold went to help Breast Cancer research.  Who could pass that up?  I thought the "Raining Hearts" stamp would be perfect for Valentine's Day.

The sentiment stamp is from a Unity Stamp Set.  The lace hearts in matched the lace on her dress.

I chose blue to color her dress.  I thought it would be nice in pink, but I had seen so many cards in pink.  I wanted to do something different.   What do you think?

Happy Friday,
Chris

I'm Cute

Good Evening Friends!

This is a cute little card for a little monster in your life.   This is a fast and easy card to make. I love the look of the torn paper at the bottom.  I wonder if this little monster chewed on the edges. He looks like he might be a little bit of a trouble maker!

Crazy Cupid

Hello Stampers!

I had a great weekend visiting with the Rochester branch of our card group.  We spent Saturday socializing and creating six cards.  They did an amazing job!

One of the cards we made this weekend was interactive.   You slide out one panel to reveal the "punch line".  In this card Cupid is on the hunt for his next victim.  This poor fellow is going to find love whether he likes it or not.

The opening in the red was cut using Spellbinders die cuts.   On the edge I folded a circle in half to add a pull tag on the side.

When you pull on the tab the front panel slides out revealing if Cupid get's his man.

Bat Dog

Hello Friends,

I'm off to Rochester to see my stamping friends this weekend.    We are leaving soon, but I wanted to share something that has made me smile this week.   Connor and I are so blessed to have such good puppies.  Their antics make us laugh every day!
