Celebrating 5 years of Love

Hello all,

What a special week!  I've been dying to post photos for days, but we have been flooded with visits from family and friends and it has been hard to find a few free moments.

Our son, Ryan Thomas was born on April 16th.  It was a long, hard labor.   I was in labor for 49.5 hours.  We had a lot of bumps in the road.  I was exhausted, his heart rate kept dropping, and my blood pressure was all over the place.  It ended at 11:25pm with a c-section. He was wedged against my pelvis and facing the wrong way (sunny side up).   I wasn't excited by the idea of having a c-section, but was so glad that we could put an end to the process.  All that matters is everyone is safe.   We spent 3 days in the hospital before coming home.

We are all doing great!  I've attached a few photos of him.  He arrived just in time to celebrate our 5 year anniversary with us.  I wanted to do something special, so I took this photo of his little feet with our wedding rings.  I love that they make a heart shape.

Thank you all for the wonderful support over the last few months.  Ryan is looking forward to meeting you all.

Hugs,
Chris

  2. I am left speechless - in total awe. I've never seen a picture quite like that with his precious feet and your rings. Love it - and him (already!)

You are creative beyond cards and stamping, my dear friend!

Besides that, you, Connor and God do nice work!

  3. Beautiful photos, beautiful baby boy! Thank you for sharing!

The last one looks like he is already practicing for school - saying the pledge of allegiance with his hand over his heart!!! (Once a teacher, always a teacher!)

  4. I love the picture of your baby with his feet in your rings. You are so creative. I'm sure you are going to, but that one needs to be framed. I also love the name that you picked out. He already looks like a Ryan.
