Hello friends,
It wanted to dedicate this card to a Connie. I met Connie and her Mom three years ago. I invited Connie to join my Copic club. She and her mom started attending the Monday group. She quickly became a regular. Connie loved to color. I really enjoyed watching her grow over the last few years. Her art work was improving all the time. Recently, she framed one of the cards she made because she so proud of how it turned out. Connie had a kind, warm heart. She brought joy to so many. A few weeks ago, the doctors discovered a tumor on her pituitary gland. She went in for surgery to have it removed. Unfortunately, she died shortly later from complications from the surgery. Our hearts go out to her Mom, husband, and 3 boys. Connie loved them all so much. It was clear from all the stories Connie shared with us in class. We will miss her. Monday's will not be the same without her.
This card is one that she would have loved. She loved Tilda. It has been a long time running joke about Tilda's lack of mouth. "Where did it go?" she'd ask in a silly way. I hope she is smiling down on us now. I will smile every time I think of her.
This card was inspired by some happy memories. Connor and I used to go see the cherry blossoms in Washington D.C when we lived in Delaware. I love life in NY, but I do miss the going to the cherry blossom festival. I can't make the trip to D.C. this year...but I can still enjoy them in my craft room.

Playing Hide and Seek
Hello friends,
I like exploring some different card formats. I found these really cool patterns for Easter cards. I shared the Chick card with you last week. With my husband's help we made a bunny version. I hope you enjoy...
I thought this would be perfect for a younger kid, they might appreciate this over a colored card. The bunny can double as a bookmark.
No copics.
I used a copic multiliner to add spots to his bunny face.
I used a white gel pen to add marks to his eyes.
I used brown and pink ink to sponge the pieces to add some dimension to the bunny.

Flowers from the Heart
Hello friends,
Spring is finally here!! I'm so ready to wave goodbye to the snow. Last Friday, we had to cancel class because of the weather. I'm hoping that is the last time for a long, long time!
Here is one of the cards we were planning on making last Friday. Hopefully we will find a way to squeeze it into a future class. This is one of my favorites styles of cards. It is a center step card. I love that the card sits perfectly on the table so the image can be easily enjoyed.
