Today's card was inspired by my Grandma. I don't know anyone who loves chocolate as much as she does. When she visits...the chocolate follows her. Suddenly there is chocolate candy on the counter, chocolate ice cream can be found in the freezer, and back-up chocolate candy in the cabinets. When she leaves...the chocolate supply evaporates. It is an amazing phenomenon.
Unfortunately, my Grandma had a rough day about a week ago. She was rushing to her car trying to dodge raindrops. As she tells it, she slipped on a worm and fell. She is okay, but she has several bumps and bruises. She is in great spirits about the whole thing. I wanted to send her a card to let her know we where thinking of her. This card just seemed perfect...
Purple: V91, V93, V95, V99
Skin: E000, E00, E11, E13, R20
Grey: N3, N1,
Hair: YR30, YR21, E31, E33
Chocolate: E21, E23, E25, E27, E47
When you are adding the chocolate to her face, I found it worked better to do it when the skin colors underneath are still wet. This way it looks smeared on her face. If is it dry, it looks more chunky.
When I saw this card at Hobby Lobby, I didn't realize the background story, which is amazing and touching!ReplyDelete
Hey Chris ~ Thanks for featuring me in your blog! I knew I would be famous some day, I just didn't know that a worm would be involved! I can tell the little girl is really smart ~ she's eating DARK chocolate!ReplyDelete
